I had so much fun creating this shabby chic inspired card!  I love the bright and cheery, springy colors too!  I triple layered green, strawberry and white cardstock then added the 'Sweet' sentiment die cut from green cardstock using the *NEW* Happy Sweet Cuts die.  Next I stamped 'as can be' with strawberry ink.  I machine zig-zag stitched around the outer edges and added several pretty Cookie Dough sequins!

papersweeties-debbie-5-13-15(1)

I die cut leaves from green glitter paper using the Stitched Tags #1 Sweet Cuts die set and added them behind the pretty paper blooms.  A beautiful white tulle bow, patterned scalloped sticker and white doilie were added to complete today's design!
Stamp supply list:  *NEW* Happy

Paper Sweeties Inspiration #30 - 'Hoppy Easter'

HOW will YOU be inspired this month -- colors, theme, sweet treats??  CLICK on the photos for enlarged views ...

papersweeties-debbie-4-1-15(9)

I was inspired by the colors along with the peeps on a stick wrapped in cellophane and tied with baker's twine ... so I created a s'mores kit with a spring/Easter theme!

papersweeties-debbie-4-1-15(8)

Stamp supply list:  So Sweet of You, Jelly Bean Time, Baskets and Bunnies, Hippity Hoppity Easter Wishes

papersweeties-debbie-4-1-15(7)

Die supply list:  Stitched Tags #1 Sweet Cuts, Hippity Hoppity Easter Wishes Sweet Cuts

papersweeties-debbie-4-1-15(6)

Embellishments materials list:  Spring Peeps Sequins, Cotton Candy Baker's Twine, Green Apple Baker's Twine, Robin Egg Baker's Twine, Grape Baker's Twine, Mint Straw, Grape Straw, Cookie Dough Straw, Cotton Candy Straw

papersweeties-debbie-4-1-15(5)

I added large fluffy marshmallows to the ends of the paper straws, wrapped them with cellophane, tied the end with yummy baker's twine and then added sweet stitched tags stamped with fun springy sentiments and embellished with sparkly sequins - YUM!  They look so cute added to a miniature milk glass mason jar filled with green paper grass ... springy and fun!

papersweeties-debbie-4-1-15(4)

For the rest of the smores kits, I added graham crackers and a chocolate bar inside a glassine bag, folded a pretty white paper doilie over the top end and then wrapped some delicious baker's twine around the glassine bag to hold the doilie on.

papersweeties-debbie-4-1-15(3)

I stamped some sweet spring/Easter images, colored them with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol along with Copic markers ... and then added some sparkly Wink of Stella for some SHINE!

papersweeties-debbie-4-1-15(2)

I added the smores kits inside a pink berry basket filled with green paper grass -- so adorable!

Pop of PINK … TSTR #247

TSTR #247

Hi crafty friends!  I had a bit of time on Sunday to create 'just because', so I decided to hop in and make a little something pretty in pink to share for today's new challenge at The Shabby Tea Room #247 - 'Pop of Pink'!  It's been a while since I had some time to join the Shabby Girls, so making this card brought me back to my lil 'ol shabby happy place!

papersweeties-debbie-3-2-15(2)

The sponsor in the Tea Room for the next two week is Dies R Us, so I decided to make a card with 100% dies ... no stamping ... and lots of yummy embellies!

papersweeties-debbie-3-2-15(3)

The mason jar is one of my favorite dies from Stampin' Up!  and the adorable little pink 'love' charm is a gift I received from my crafty friend, Jill!  Everything else is from the Paper Sweeties boutique:

Die supply list:  Party Time Sweet Cuts

Embellishment supply list:  Cotton Candy Seam Binding, Cookie Dough Sequins, Frosting Sequins, Cotton Candy Sequins

papersweeties-debbie-3-2-15(1)

After I die cut the flower shapes using the Party Time Sweet Cuts set, I crinkled them to create shape and then added a Cookie Dough Sequin to each center.  The leaves were die cut and then pinched in the centers to add texture.  I inked the edges of the mason jar with cream paint to create a time-worn look and then die cut the center of the jar using an oval shape so I could create a SHAKER CARD with pretty sequins inside!

Please be sure to visit the Tea Room to be inspired by the rest of the Shabby Girls projects!

This card also goes along perfectly with the March Inspiration Challenge at Paper Sweeties, so I'm linking up there too!

papersweeties-inspiration#29

Thanks for popping by today!  Hugs - xoxo

Special Friend Blend – Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

PrintHi crafty friends ... and coffee lovers near and far!  I love a Saturday when I find myself 'relatively caught up with my to do list' and have a little time to get my craft on just for fun!  It doesn't happen that often, so I treasure these little moments when I can play with pretty little bits and bobs 'just because'!

papersweeties-debbie-2-28-15(2)

I found the Coffee Lover's Spring Blog Hop for the very first time yesterday while enjoying some pretty inspiration around town on Instagram and Facebook ... where have I been living ... apparently under a rock!  This theme is right up my coffee and tea lovin' alley!  I'm still savoring the last little bits of my favorite holiday peppermint coffee each morning ... soooo, yummy!  {click on photos for larger view}

papersweeties-debbie-2-28-15(3)

So, I sat down at my craft desk, pulled out some of my favorite colors of papers and embellishments ... and of course a couple of yummy coffee/tea related stamps and dies and got busy!  Aqua and pink is my all-time favorite color combo to use when I make little handmade goodies, so this one came together quick and easy for me ... it was so much fun to whip up!

papersweeties-debbie-2-28-15(1)

The sentiment tag can reference the blend of the coffee along with the sweet cupcake - a perfect pairing in my world ... or it can reference the blend of some delicious spring mix sequins my sweet friend, Taheerah, sent to me from Pretty Posh Pink this past holiday - mixed with some yummy colors of sequins from the Paper Sweeties boutique.  This card takes me to my ultimate happy place ... I hope it makes you smile too!

Stamp supply list:  Tea For Two, Sending Sweet Thoughts, Pretty Posies, Hand Stamped by (sentiment on back of card)

Die supply list: Tea For Two Sweet Cuts, Sending Sweet Thoughts Sweet Cuts, Pretty Posies Sweet Cuts

Embellishment supply list: Cookie Dough Sequins, Cotton Candy Sequins, Marshmallow Sequins, Robin Egg Baker's Twine

Hugs - xoxox

Inspired by these challenges too:  Color Throwdown #331 - color palette; JUGS #282 - photo inspiration/polka dots, flowers, white; Fussy & Fancy #133 - tic tac toe/lace, ribbon, sentiment; Fusion - bow ties & other things/colors, bow; 7 Kids College Fund #120 - ATG; Simon Says Stamp - ATG; House of Cards - February/love; Tuesday Throwdown #233 - ATG; City Crafter Challenge Blog #250 - use your scraps/tiny piece of acetate, scallop frame from another project, piece of patterned paper, snipett of white cardstock for sentiment; 613 Avenue Create #112 - ATG; The Shabby Tea Room #246 - mason jar love/colors; Uniko Studio #18 - birthday

Celebrate – CC#11

11

Hello crafty friends!  I'm popping in today to share a card I recently designed for The Card Concept #11 based off the beautiful inspiration board shown above!

papersweeties-debbie-cc11(2)

I stamped the yellow polka dots using the Borders stamp set and then stamped the frame using the Beautiful stamp set.  I die cut the frame using the Beautiful Little Wishes Sweet Cuts die and added some dimensionals onto the back of the frame so it would 'pop' off the base of the card.

papersweeties-debbie-cc11(3)

The base of the card consists of stamped elements along with Damask Washi Tape from The Kraft Outlet, a white paper doilie, gingham check patterned paper, a pretty air dry clay flower I handmade and then inked with cream paint, a scalloped sticker, some Licorice Baker's Twine and several beautiful, iridescent flower-shaped Cookie Dough Sequins from Paper Sweeties!

papersweeties-debbie-cc11(1)

Please be sure to visit The Card Concept challenge blog to be inspired by the rest of the teamies' gorgeous projects this week -- and then I hope you'll have time to give this week's challenge a try!

bloom & grow – TSTR #210

TSTR #210

Hello crafty friends!  I'm popping in today to share a little something I made for this week's challenge at The Shabby Tea Room #210 - 'Anything Goes'!

Debbie TSTR #210 (2)

The Tea Room sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps and I got to create with their Violet Teacup digital image!   I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol and then fussy cut it out.  I created a banner sentiment using the Banner Wishes  and Wagon Add-on: bloom & grow stamp sets.  I added a Cookie Dough Sequin to the center of each violet bloom for a little pop of color.  Next I added a Green Apple Paper Straw  to act as a border between the cardstock and patterened paper and finished the design off with a pretty bow created using Grape and Frosting Seam Binding.

Debbie TSTR #210 (1)

Be sure to pop on over to The Shabby Tea Room to check out the inspiration by the rest of the teamies!  I hope you'll have time to play along this week with our 'Anything Goes' challenge for a chance to win some goodness from Bugaboo Stamps!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hugs - xoxo

Paper Sweeties March Release Sneak Peeks!

Hello my friends!   Thanks for popping in today!  We are kicking off the March *new* product release festivities today with some inspiration from the design team ladies using all of the yummy goodies that will be available in the boutique on the 15th.  Until then, let's share some sneak peeks of what's to come ...

papersweeties-debbie-3-13-14(2)

I created this fun, bright and cheery card using the *new* Hippity Hoppity Easter Wishes, Wagon Add-on: bloom & grow and Make Today Beautiful stamp sets along with the *new* Hippity Hoppity Easter Wishes Sweet Cuts die!

papersweeties-debbie-3-13-14(1)

I love the coordinating Sweet Cuts dies that Paper Sweeties offers to go with our stamps - so easy peesy to create in a snap!  I stamped the tulips onto patterned papers and die cut them out.  Next I stamped the stems and leaves, die cut, colored ... and assembled these pretty blooms!  The chick was stamped, die cut, colored with Prismacolor Pencils & Gamsol and then adhered to the card base.  I added a sweet Cookie Dough Sequin to the flower on the little chick's head - sparkly and fun!  LOVE that sweet banner, don't you???  The sun was created using a piece of flair and the stem from the Make Today Beautiful set!

Once Upon a Time …

babybloghop

Welcome to a very special blog post today!  Our very own Sweeties teamie, Jinny Newlin, has welcomed a sweet, new little bundle of joy into her world!  Jinny was on the inaugural Paper Sweeties Design Team and then stepped into an alumni position when she learned she was expecting this new little baby!  Jinny has her hands full at the moment caring for her beautiful little family ... but even though she has stepped away from designing for Paper Sweeties at the moment, we wanted to do something to let her know that she is always being thought about in a very special way!  Jinny shared her amazing time and talents with Paper Sweeties when the company was first launching ... and the faith and trust she extended to me signing up to be on our very first design team without even knowing what the stamps would look like meant more to me than I could even begin to put into words!

So, in honor of this momentous news about the birth of little baby Kaden, some of the Sweeties teamies got together and are throwing Jinny a virtual baby shower today in the form of a designer's blog hop!

I had so much FUN creating this fun little baby boy card - complete with a darling little 3-D banner full of goodies from the Paper Sweeties shop!

I used the Once Upon a Time stamp set to create the sentiment banners.  I stamped a couple of the images from the Homespun Holidays stamp set - the present, heart and hobby horse - in pretty, pastel colors and then cut them out using the coordinating Homespun Holiday Sweet Cuts die!  I added a few more bits and bobbles from the shop to finish off the banner - a Mint Paper Straw, some Cookie Dough and Robin Egg Sequins and then strung it all using a snipett of Blueberry Baker's Twine!  The pretty baby blue polka dotted satin ribbon is from The Ribbon Reel Shop.
