Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop with Paper Sweeties | Day #2

announce 2016

Welcome to day #2 of the annual holiday Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop hosted by Lori Hairston!  I'm thrilled that Lori invited me to share some projects again this year and hope my creations will help spark your creativity this holiday season!  CLICK on the photos to see larger views!

papersweeties-debbie-12-5-16(2)

I created another couple of 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" cards for today's project share!  This design is simple and quick (perfect for our busy schedules this time of the year), and would make a sweet thank you or birthday card for the winter season!

papersweeties-debbie-12-5-16(1)

I added faux stitching to the kraft cardstock base using a chalk marker and then stamped the sentiment using the Let it Snow stamp set.  I die cut the mitten from patterned paper using the Stitched Tags #2 Sweet Cuts set and then die cut the mitten cuff from white felt.  The beautiful holly and berries was created by die cutting the leaves from green glitter paper using the Holly Days Sweet Cuts set and then adding some sparkly 'berries' using the Mistletoe Sequins mix!  To finish this card off, I tied some Cupcake Seam Binding on the top of the tag!

papersweeties-debbie-12-6-16(1)

My second card today is another  simple and quick design that can be easily mass produced - especially since you are stamping the tree twice to make this one card (once in red and once in green), so you're doubling up and saving time!

papersweeties-debbie-12-6-16(2)

I added faux stitching to the kraft cardstock base using a chalk marker and then stamped the sentiment using the Merry and Bright stamp set.  The scalloped circle was cut using a die from my stash and then I added the mixy-matchy adorable little tree inside the circle.  To create the multi-color tree, I stamped the tree image from the Trim the Tree set twice in two different colors, die cut using the Trim the Tree Sweet Cuts set, fussy cut along the horizontal lines and then paper pieced the tree back together, alternating the colors - easy peesy!  The star was die cut from gold glitter paper using the Trim the Tree Sweet Cuts set!

Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop with Paper Sweeties!

announce 2016

Welcome to day #1 of the annual holiday Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop hosted by Lori Hairston!  I'm thrilled that Lori invited me to share some projects again this year and hope my creations will help spark your creativity this holiday season!  CLICK on the photos to see larger views!

papersweeties-debbie-12-4-16(2)

I created a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" card using Sweet Emma!  I love making smaller sized, square cards ... and the extra cardstock that is cut off the end of a full sheet of paper is perfect for little bits and bobs and great for paper piecing smaller things onto larger images - like Emma's outfit!  First I stamped Emma onto vanilla cardstock and then die cut her using the Emma Sweet Cuts die.  To dress her for taking a walk outside in the blustery snow, I used the Let it Snow stamp set!

papersweeties-debbie-12-4-16(1)

First I stamped the hat, coat and boots onto white cardstock.  Next I stamped the hat, coat and leggins on patterned paper.  I cut out all the outfit images and then had fun dressing Emma - aka paper piecing the images onto the Emma body base!  Paper piecing is the most FUN thing to do ... as a little girl, I used to play with paper dolls for hours and hours, and now that I'm a grown up girl, I still love to play dress up!  I die cut the snow drift with white glitter paper using the Thanks Snow Much Sweet Cuts set, stamped the sentiment using Thanks Snow Much and then added some sparkly snowflakes using Winter Mix Sequins!

Winter | Holiday 2015 Coffee Lover’s Hop!

coffeelovers-winter

Welcome, crafty friends, to the Winter & Holiday Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop!  I'm a coffee lovin' type of gal, and this time of year I love Peppermint Coffee - yummy!  Click on the photos for larger views!

papersweeties-debbie-12-11-15(2)

Today I will be sharing three sweet projects I created and paired together to give to the wonderful gals that take my monthly classes -- they are all so wonderful and supportive, so I wanted to give them a little handmade from the heart holiday goodie!

papersweeties-debbie-12-11-15(1)

I got cute little kraft handled bags and wrapped the bottom with Washi tape.  I die cut the 'Joy' sentiment with red cardstock and adhered it to the top of the bag.  Next I die cut the sweet gingerbread man from the Sugar and Spice Sweet Cuts set from a piece of glitter foam I got from the Dollar Store, tied some gingham ribbon around his neck and added a Rusty Bell.  His eyes were die cut, a Pink & White Chenille Cane was added to his hand and I added ric-rac trim using Liquid Pearls.

papersweeties-debbie-12-11-15(4)

He is cute as can be in real life -- sparkly and sweet!

papersweeties-debbie-12-11-15(3)

I added some yummy treats inside the little gingerbread man bag ...

papersweeties-debbie-12-11-15(6)

I tied some pretty pink grosgrain ribbon around a packet of Ghiradelli Peppermint Hot Cocoa and added a Cotton Candy Paper Straw.  Next I die cut the mug from the Homemade With Love Sweet Cuts set from some red glitter paper.  The peppermint stick was die cut from polka dot patterned paper and inserted into the cocoa mug.  I added green leaves from the Mistletoe Sequin mix and then added Cotton Candy Sequin berries!

papersweeties-debbie-12-11-15(5)

Delicious!

papersweeties-debbie-12-11-15(7)

To finish off this gift set, I added some more Washi tape to the bottom of a glassine bag and put two Pepperidge Farm Gingerbread Man cookies inside the bag.  I wrapped some Peppermint Baker's Twine around the little bag and tied a mini gingerbread cookie cutter onto the bag.  I stamped a sentiment from the Homemade With Love stamp set onto a paper doilie, adhered it to the glassine bag and then added a cute little gingerbread sticker.

papersweeties-debbie-12-11-15(11)

Cute!!!

papersweeties-debbie-12-11-15(10)

So sweet all lined up like little toy soldiers!

papersweeties-debbie-12-11-15(9)

These gift sets were so much fun to make ... but even more fun to GIVE during this season of giving!

I have another little something sweet created using some new goodies that will be available in the shop on the 15th for the November release —  (Click on the photos for larger views!)

I used the *NEW* Dear Santa and Stand Add-on: Fireplace stamp sets along with the *NEW* Dear Santa Sweet Cuts die set to create this adorable little card!

I masked off the awning, shelf and sign portions of the Sweeties Stand to stamp just the frame.  Then I used the brick, mantle, hearth and fire/grate from the Sweeties Stand Add-on: Fireplace to create a {sweet} fireplace to hang my Christmas stockings on!

To finish things off, I added a cute wreath stamped using the Sweeties Stand Add-on: Mistletoe and some delicious Marshmallow Sequins!

Sparkle & Joy – CC #25

CC-25

Welcome to my blog today, crafty friends!  I'm popping in to share a little something I created for this week's new challenge at The Card Concept -- based on this pretty inspiration photo!

papersweeties-debbie-cc#25(3)

I inked the edges of a piece of Kraft cardstock with white paint and then used the new Snowflake Thinlits Die from SU! to cut the snowflakes shapes from white, silver and kraft cardstock.  I layered the snowflake shapes and then added some pretty metallic flower-shaped Silver Sequins for a pop of sparkle!

papersweeties-debbie-cc#25(2)

I die cut the sentiment using the Joy Sweet Cuts die and adhered to the bottom corner of the card.  Last, I added a belly band tie using some beautiful silver metallic ribbon, a snipett of white lace trim and a jingle bell that I painted white and added glitter!

A Fond Farewell to Papercrafts and Scrapbooking Magazine!

papercraftshop1

Hello crafty friends!  I'm so glad you popped by today for a little peek on what I've been up to!!  I'm sharing a card I made to help say 'goodbye' to the Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking magazine along with all the wonderful staff that have worked tirelessly over the years to bring us one of the best publications to find inspiration and spark our creativity!  I know I'm not alone with feeling a little lost without my favorite printed craft magazines -- it's a new world we are living in these days!  (Click on photos for larger views).

papersweeties-debibe-12-3-14(2)

So, I set to work to create something unique, sweet, heartfelt and FUN!  I pulled out my very favorite little girl stamp from Paper Sweeties, Miss Emma!  I stamped her on vanilla cardstock and then die cut her using the Emma Sweet Cuts die.  I colored her hair with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol and then added a sparkly bow embellishment I received a while back from a my dear crafty friend, Jill!  Next I stamped a nightgown outfit onto fun gingham patterned paper using the I Love You stamp set -- and then stamped Emma's little teddy bear too!  The nightgown and teddy bear were paper pieced to little Miss Emma - super CUTE!

papersweeties-debibe-12-3-14(3)

I colored the little bunny slippers with a pink glitter marker and added Cotton Candy Sequins and Cotton Candy Baker's Twine to the base of the card to carry the pink through my design!  A banner was stamped using one of the sentiments from the I Love You stamp set.  I'm sending 'teddy bear hugs' to all the Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking staff along with all the talented designers that have graced the pages of this magazine over the years -- sharing their amazing work and talents with us all!

papersweeties-debibe-12-3-14(1)

I was honored to have been published in the Paper Crafts magazine several time over the years ... a couple of my more recent projects were as follows:

papersweeties-10-3-13

Paper Crafts Handmade Cards - October 2013 - 'Joy' page 28 (using Fancy Monograms)

papersweeties-debbie-9-13

Paper Crafts Holiday Cards - September 2013 - 'Merry and Bright' page 40 (using Sending Holiday Cheer)

For more inspiration, continue on the hop:

You're arrived here on the hop from Joni Andaya's blog.

And so, a FOND FAREWELL to everyone who worked throughout the years to bring us this wonderful publication and to all the talented designers who shared their lovely work to help spark our creativity!  Thank goodness we still have blogland so I can continue to enjoy everyone's pretty little paper projects!  Thank you for stopping by my blog today and allowing me to share a little piece of what I love to do with you!

Teddy bear hugs - xoxo
