Have Yourself a merry Little Christmas – TSTR #197

Hi sweeties ... I'm happy you stopped by for a visit today!!

245b3f91a6f56d387c30273fb5b9b956This week at The Shabby Tea Room, we're asked to create a card or project inspired by this darling photo using RED, WHITE with GINGHAM and/or GINGERBREAD!  Fun!

Debbie TSTR #197 (2)This week's Tea Room sponsor is Creations by AR and I got to create this week using the gorgeous Holiday Wreath file!  I cut it out using my Cricut in Sage Green cardstock and adhered to the base of my card.  I added some tiny & sweet punched red hearts as 'berries' on my wreath!Debbie TSTR #197 (3)I stamped two adorable little gingerbread people using the Ho Ho Ho stamp set and then die cut them using the Ho Ho Ho Sweet Cuts die - easy peesy!  The sentiment banner was stamped using the Have a Holly Jolly Holiday set on white cardstock and then double mounted on a snipett of Sage Green cardstock.  I 'hung' the banner on a piece of red & white gingham ribbon and then finished off my card with a twill tape bow, Red & White Chenille Candy Cane and a couple of Rusty Jingle Bells!Debbie TSTR #197 (1)

Please be sure to visit the Tea Room to be inspired by the other Shabby Girls amazing creations this week ... and then I hope you'll have time to play along for a chance to win an amazing prize package from Creations by AR!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Visions of Sugarplums – Grand Finale!

VOSP 2013 ad 2 aWell, all good things must come to an end, and sadly, today is the final day of project shares for the Visions of Sugarplums Designer's Hop!

papersweeties-debbie-12-6-13(2)This card was super easy to create!  I inked the red cardstock base with some cream paint and then machine zig-zag stitched some pretty green holiday patterned paper to it.  I added a strip of Washi tape at the bottom and a pretty red glittered chipboard heart.

papersweeties-debbie-12-6-13(3)The pretty wreath, pinecones, berries and sentiment were stamped using the Season of Love set directly onto a white paper doilie ... perfect!

papersweeties-debbie-12-6-13(1)And last, I added some gingham ribbon, twine and Rusty Jingle Bells to give this card a rustic, homespun feeling!

Here is the hop line up for today ... be sure to leave a little love for each designer!

Paper Sweeties | November 2017 Release Rewind!

Hello crafty friends -- welcome to day #3 of the November 2017 *NEW* product release here at Paper Sweeties!  I hope you were inspired  yesterday by the sneak peek projects the Design Teamies and I shared!  If you missed yesterday's festivities, click --> HERE <-- to check out all the creativity!

I die cut the tag using our For You Sweet Cuts die using fun polka dot patterned paper!  Next, I die cut the beautiful holly leaves from felt using the *NEW* Meet me under the Mistletoe Sweet Cuts set, added some glitter on the edges and buttons in the center for the berries!  I stamped the 'Joy' sentiment using the *NEW* Meet me under the Mistletoe stamp set with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder!!  Can I say how ... much ... I ... LOVE the holly leaves and berries stamp & coordinating die -- one of my all-time favorites!!!

I added a button, button twine, gingham ribbon and tinsel to finish off the tag ... and then topped it on a kraft box decorated with Washi Tape and a gingham polka dot bow I got from the Dollar Store!  What do you think???  I'd like to receive anything that was packaged so colorfully in a little box like this, how about you???

Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop with Paper Sweeties!

WinterCoffeeLoversHop

It's that time again, friends!  I'm excited to share a little something 'sweet' with y'all today for the 2016 Winter Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop!

papersweeties-debbie-12-9-16(2)

This cutie patootie card was simple to whip up.  CAS at this time of the year works for me, how about you?

papersweeties-debbie-12-9-16(1)

I die cut the cocoa mug from red glitter paper, die cut the steam from white cardstock, stamped and die cut the peppermint stick and stamped the sentiment.  I adhered all die cut pieces to the card base, added some sparkly sequins and then faux stitching around the edges of the card base.  Easy peesy!

papersweeties-debbie-12-9-16(4)

To go along with the cocoa card, I whipped up a little sweet treat of Peppermint Ghirardelli hot cocoa packets wrapped with some beautiful tulle and then created a little tag and holiday nosegay!  For the tag, I die cut the mitten twice, once with cardstock and once with felt for the cuff.  I stamped the 'cocoa' sentiment, die cut it and then adhered to the mitten using a foam dot.  I stamped the 'yes please' sentiment directly onto the mitten base and then added some sparkly sequins to tie the gift to the card.

papersweeties-debbie-12-9-16(3)

I tied the mitten tag onto the tulle bow using button twine and then added a candy cane and some fun jingle bells!  In my world, every holiday project 'needs' candy canes and jingle bells!!

papersweeties-debbie-12-9-16(5)

I sent this sweet treat to my son and his girlfriend ... I've been doing a secret Santa for them all month long in December since they have both just started new jobs and can't make it home for the holiday this year.  I thought receiving a little something fun in the mail every couple of days leading up to Christmas would be fun for them!  Here are the goodies I used from Paper Sweeties to make this adorable little set:

For today's project share, I made a garland to decorate a mantle or hang on the tree!

papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(2)papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(3)

I strung this garland along a pine bough lit with white jingle bell ornaments for you to see how you use the project to decorate your home or office ...

papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(10)papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(4)

Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop with Paper Sweeties | Day #2

announce 2016

Welcome to day #2 of the annual holiday Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop hosted by Lori Hairston!  I'm thrilled that Lori invited me to share some projects again this year and hope my creations will help spark your creativity this holiday season!  CLICK on the photos to see larger views!

papersweeties-debbie-12-5-16(2)

I created another couple of 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" cards for today's project share!  This design is simple and quick (perfect for our busy schedules this time of the year), and would make a sweet thank you or birthday card for the winter season!

papersweeties-debbie-12-5-16(1)

I added faux stitching to the kraft cardstock base using a chalk marker and then stamped the sentiment using the Let it Snow stamp set.  I die cut the mitten from patterned paper using the Stitched Tags #2 Sweet Cuts set and then die cut the mitten cuff from white felt.  The beautiful holly and berries was created by die cutting the leaves from green glitter paper using the Holly Days Sweet Cuts set and then adding some sparkly 'berries' using the Mistletoe Sequins mix!  To finish this card off, I tied some Cupcake Seam Binding on the top of the tag!

papersweeties-debbie-12-6-16(1)

My second card today is another  simple and quick design that can be easily mass produced - especially since you are stamping the tree twice to make this one card (once in red and once in green), so you're doubling up and saving time!

papersweeties-debbie-12-6-16(2)

I added faux stitching to the kraft cardstock base using a chalk marker and then stamped the sentiment using the Merry and Bright stamp set.  The scalloped circle was cut using a die from my stash and then I added the mixy-matchy adorable little tree inside the circle.  To create the multi-color tree, I stamped the tree image from the Trim the Tree set twice in two different colors, die cut using the Trim the Tree Sweet Cuts set, fussy cut along the horizontal lines and then paper pieced the tree back together, alternating the colors - easy peesy!  The star was die cut from gold glitter paper using the Trim the Tree Sweet Cuts set!
