Paper Sweeties + 2017 Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Hello crafty friends - thanks for stopping by my blog today!  I'm excited to share a little something I recently created for the Summer 2017 Edition of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  I took inspiration from not only the coffee theme, but from the colors in the graphic too!!

I really enjoyed sitting down at my desk to create this 'just because' card with a fun coffee theme!  Madison is the newest Sweetie to join our little stamp family and I had fun dressing her in this cute outfit from the Live Love Grow stamp set - I imagined her working at this oh-so-sweet coffee shop, so she had to sport an apron, a coffee shop logo T and ... of course ... a cup of ICED COFFEE!  I stamped Maddy onto vanilla cardstock and then die cut her using the Madison Sweet Cuts die.  The outfit was stamped on white cardstock and several scrap pieces of patterned paper and then paper pieced together!

I adore the sentiment from the Tackle life one cup at a time stamp set ... 'coffee and friends' ... and Maddy's friend, as you can see, is this sweet little pup from the Sweeties Pets stamp set!  The coffee stand was created by stamping the Sweeties Stand onto white cardstock, coloring in the background and then stamping the awning portion again onto patterned paper and paper piecing it onto the stand base.  (Click on photo for larger view).

I added some fun coffee images and a sentiment for inside the hanging sign using the Planner Series: Coffee stamp set and finished this little cutie pie off by adding some die cut clouds created using the Let's go to the beach Sweet Cuts set!  I created this scene on a card base, but when I was finished, I thought to myself that this would be really cute on a scrapbook page with a pic of me and my bestie - *note to self!

I am delighted to once again be a sponsor for this fun hop -- Paper Sweeties has donated a $25 gift certificate to one lucky winner ...

... and additionally, we are offering a second FLASH prize of (1) stamp set and (1) die set of winner's choice to another lucky ducky ...

... and, last but certainly not least, we are offering a 'Choose your discount SALE' during the hop - enter appropriate coupon code at checkout to redeem your DISCOUNT!

Thanks again for popping in to see what I created for this season's coffee event - xoxo

bloom & grow – TSTR #222

TSTR #222

Hi crafty friends and welcome to The Shabby Tea Room #222 - 'Lavender & Lace'!  This week we are to be inspired by the colors in the photo and include lace and/or a doilie and distressing!

Debbie TSTR #222 (1)

The Tea Room challenge is sponsored by The Cutting Cafe this week and I got to create with the versatile Tulip Card Set!  I created a shaker card -- I {heart} shaker cards ... they are so much fun to make, give and receive!!

Debbie TSTR #222 (3)

I inked the edges of my card to create a time-worn look and added some rouched lace trim and a Grape Seam Binding bow!  The sentiment was stamped using the Wagon Add-on: bloom & grow and Banner Wishes stamp sets from Paper Sweeties!

Debbie TSTR #222 (2)

If you haven't made a shaker card yet, give one a try ... you'll be glad you did!!  There are SIXTEEN different colors of flower-shaped, iridescent sequins available in the Paper Sweeties boutique ... they are so pretty -- I'm ADDICTED to them!!

Be sure to visit The Shabby Tea Room to check out the amazing inspiration projects created by the rest of the Shabby Girls this week, and then I hope you'll have time to join in with the fun!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hugs - xoxo

bloom & grow – CC#9

CC#9

Hello crafty friends!  Today I'm popping in to share a little something I created for the latest edition at The Card Concept - Monochromatic Purple!

papersweeties-debbie-cc#9(2)

I have to admit that I am not a purple person ... it's one of those colors that I rarely use when I create, but this card came together in a snap!  I used some pretty patterned papers (love me some polka dots), gorgeous white lace trim from The Ribbon Reel, flowers from Kaisercraft and the Wagon Add-on: bloom & grow stamp set along with Grape Seam Binding and a Grape Sequin from Paper Sweeties!

papersweeties-debbie-cc#9(1)

So, what do you think?  I love how this monochromatic purple card turned out!  Be sure to hop on over to The Card Concept challenge blog to check out the amazing inspiration from the rest of the teamies this week and then I hope you'll have time to play along!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hugs - xoxo

CREATE a NEW project based on the current inspiration board using ANY of your favorite crafty supplies — receive an EXTRA VOTE if you use something from Paper Sweeties such as a stamp, die or embellishment!  If you don't have any stamps from Paper Sweeties yet, we have some complimentary digital images for you to try out!  Use this month’s board as a starting point for your project — be inspired by one or more of the colors, shapes, theme — ANYTHING GOES!

2. POST a DIRECT LINK to your project in our link gallery below — please link to your project post (not your entire blog) so we can easily find your creation. You do not need to have a blog to enter — you can use any online gallery to upload your project:  Flickr, Pinterest, Facebook or Splitcoast Stampers (keyword papersweeties)!

3. LINK back to this blog post so your readers can easily find us!

Our challenge will run for the entire month. You can play along as many times as you wish and combine with as many other challenges as you want! The challenges will end at 12 pm EST on the last day of each month. The winner will be revealed on the 1st of each month!

Paper Sweeties Inspiration #37:

papersweeties-inspiration#37

HOW will YOU be inspired this month -- colors, theme, shapes, patterns?  I was inspired by the colors, theme, pumpkin and all the lovely sentiments in this beautiful photo (CLICK on the photos for close up views):

papersweeties-debbie-11-1-15(2)

I dressed sweet little Sophie in her pilgrim outfit using the Happy Thanksgiving stamp set and then added three Marshmallow Sequins for 'buttons' on her apron!  All outfit images and the sweet little pumpkin were stamped onto patterned paper, fussy cut and paper pieced onto Sophie which was die cut using the Sophie Sweet Cuts die!

papersweeties-debbie-11-1-15(3)

I used a variety of sentiments to stamp inside the flowers (step card die from Sizzix) from the Give Thanks and Autumn Blessings stamp sets!  I used a glitter marker to make the squiggly lines around the edges of the flowers, leaves and base of the card.

Paper Sweeties December Release Rewind – Joyex Noel

Looking for my Visions of Sugarplums post –> click HERE!

My oh my, how time flies when you're having fun!  Today is the 4th and final day of project shares from the Sweeties Teamies for the December *new* product release ... I hope you have enjoyed each day of the blog hops and found some inspiration along the way too!  Before we wrap things up for December and begin creating for the upcoming January release, we have a few more things to share with you today using some of the new goodies in combination with old products too!

papersweeties-debbie-12-5-13(1)I created this fun card full of yummy polka dots and whimsical embellishments using the Season of Love and Little Wishes stamp sets along with a Red & White Chenille Candy Cane!papersweeties-debbie-12-5-13(2)The addition of some baker's twine, a glittered jingle bell, buttons, a paper doilie, a chipboard glittered star and a pretty fabric bloom complete my design!

papersweeties-debbie-#13(3)And, I am re-sharing a project I made for last month's Paper Sweeties November Inspiration challenge so I can show you all the sweet little outfit that is included in the Have a Holly Jolly stamp set!papersweeties-debbie-#13(7)The outfit consists of a sweet top with ruffles at the cuffs and waist.  I stamped my top directly onto patterned paper!  This set also has 10 interchangeable theme icons that you can stamp directly onto the top so you can create 10 different looks ... or don't stamp an incon at all -- leave the top blank or stamp onto patterned paper.  I colored the ruffles with a pink glitter marker and then adhered the sweet stamped heart onto the top.papersweeties-debbie-#13(1)This set also comes with a pair of pants with ruffles at the bottom to coordinate with the top and a pair of ballet shoes!  Pretty polka dots adorn the pants and make them so fun!  You can use this set to dress up the Sweeties girls for the holidays, Valentine's Day, birthdays, celebrations ... just about anything ... using the interchangeable icons!

papersweeties-debbie-#13(5)Here I'm showing a couple of the other outfits I inked and stamped to create a little wardrobe for Miss Emma ... most everything was stamped directly onto patterned papers to make things quick and easy to cut and assemble!  I cut the doll out using the coordinating Emma Sweet Cuts die!

papersweeties-debbie-#13(6)Here you see a few more outfits I created using the Some Bunny Loves You, Live Love Grow and The Splendor of Autumn stamp sets!papersweeties-debbie-#13(4)I added some double sided sticky tape onto the back of each outfit after I laminated them and then adhered them onto glassine 'garmet' bags!papersweeties-debbie-#13(8)Emma was laminated also so the outfits can easily be changed out ... so much fun to play dress up!  The entire ensemble was packaged up using a decorated CD envelope from The Kraft Journal and another glassine bag was added to the front to hold Miss Emma!  I adhered it to the pink & white stripe gingham bow so it could easily be slipped off the CD case to revel and outfits contained inside the case.  What a fun gift to make, give and receive!  Any little (or big!) girl will enjoy receiving a handmade from the heart keepsake like this!

A set of a paper doll with outfits will make you mom of the year when you create these for your daughter's next birthday party as favors ... or what a fun activity to do with the attendees at your daughter's next party -- little girls love playing dress up and pretend!  It's also a great 'take along in the car' gift set that will provide hours of fun for your little girl!  How about stamping a set uncolored and then give as a gift with a pack of markers or crayons and let the little recipient color and decorate the outfits herself!  FUN!

Please be sure to visit the rest of the teamies’ blogs to be inspired by their project shares today:

Sending Hugs … TKJ #131!

Debbie TKJ#131 (2)

For today's 'Cute Critters' challenge, I began with a base of white card stock onto which I layered a piece of Brown Kraft Card Stock.  Next I wrapped some Green Baker's Twine around a piece of sky blue shimmer card stock to create 'grass' and then adhered this to the card base.  I created a cute scene with some die cut clouds and fence, a couple of felt critters and some stamped elements using the Happy Summer and Live Love Grow stamp sets.

Debbie TKJ#131 (3)

Lastly, I stamped a sentiment banner using the Sending Springtime stamp set on white card stock, adhered it to a Flag Banner Sticker and then to a Chipboard Flag Banner Piece.
