Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop with Paper Sweeties!

WinterCoffeeLoversHop

It’s that time again, friends!  I’m excited to share a little something ‘sweet’ with y’all today for the 2016 Winter Coffee Lovers’ Blog Hop!

papersweeties-debbie-12-9-16(2)

This cutie patootie card was simple to whip up.  CAS at this time of the year works for me, how about you?

papersweeties-debbie-12-9-16(1)

I die cut the cocoa mug from red glitter paper, die cut the steam from white cardstock, stamped and die cut the peppermint stick and stamped the sentiment.  I adhered all die cut pieces to the card base, added some sparkly sequins and then faux stitching around the edges of the card base.  Easy peesy!

papersweeties-debbie-12-9-16(4)

To go along with the cocoa card, I whipped up a little sweet treat of Peppermint Ghirardelli hot cocoa packets wrapped with some beautiful tulle and then created a little tag and holiday nosegay!  For the tag, I die cut the mitten twice, once with cardstock and once with felt for the cuff.  I stamped the ‘cocoa’ sentiment, die cut it and then adhered to the mitten using a foam dot.  I stamped the ‘yes please’ sentiment directly onto the mitten base and then added some sparkly sequins to tie the gift to the card.

papersweeties-debbie-12-9-16(3)

I tied the mitten tag onto the tulle bow using button twine and then added a candy cane and some fun jingle bells!  In my world, every holiday project ‘needs’ candy canes and jingle bells!!

papersweeties-debbie-12-9-16(5)

I sent this sweet treat to my son and his girlfriend … I’ve been doing a secret Santa for them all month long in December since they have both just started new jobs and can’t make it home for the holiday this year.  I thought receiving a little something fun in the mail every couple of days leading up to Christmas would be fun for them!  Here are the goodies I used from Paper Sweeties to make this adorable little set:

Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop with Paper Sweeties | Day #3

announce 2016

Welcome to the 3rd and final day of the annual holiday Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop hosted by Lori Hairston!  I’m thrilled that Lori invited me to share some projects again this year and hope my creations will help spark your creativity this holiday season!  CLICK on the photos to see larger views!

papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(1)papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(8)

For today’s project share, I made a garland to decorate a mantle or hang on the tree!

papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(2)papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(3)

I strung this garland along a pine bough lit with white jingle bell ornaments for you to see how you use the project to decorate your home or office …

papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(10)papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(4)

… but this one is being mailed to my son that lives up in Philly.  He will be putting up his very first Christmas tree in his apartment this year, so he is in need of some decorations!

papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(9)papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(5)

I think he’ll like this handmade from the heart decoration … what do you think???

papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(11)papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(14)

It was really fun to make … and even more fun to give away!

papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(12)papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(13)papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(6)

Here are the goodies I used from the Paper Sweeties boutique to make this little treasure:

Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop with Paper Sweeties | Day #2

announce 2016

Welcome to day #2 of the annual holiday Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop hosted by Lori Hairston!  I’m thrilled that Lori invited me to share some projects again this year and hope my creations will help spark your creativity this holiday season!  CLICK on the photos to see larger views!

papersweeties-debbie-12-5-16(2)

I created another couple of 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ cards for today’s project share!  This design is simple and quick (perfect for our busy schedules this time of the year), and would make a sweet thank you or birthday card for the winter season!

papersweeties-debbie-12-5-16(1)

I added faux stitching to the kraft cardstock base using a chalk marker and then stamped the sentiment using the Let it Snow stamp set.  I die cut the mitten from patterned paper using the Stitched Tags #2 Sweet Cuts set and then die cut the mitten cuff from white felt.  The beautiful holly and berries was created by die cutting the leaves from green glitter paper using the Holly Days Sweet Cuts set and then adding some sparkly ‘berries’ using the Mistletoe Sequins mix!  To finish this card off, I tied some Cupcake Seam Binding on the top of the tag!

papersweeties-debbie-12-6-16(1)

My second card today is another  simple and quick design that can be easily mass produced – especially since you are stamping the tree twice to make this one card (once in red and once in green), so you’re doubling up and saving time!

papersweeties-debbie-12-6-16(2)

I added faux stitching to the kraft cardstock base using a chalk marker and then stamped the sentiment using the Merry and Bright stamp set.  The scalloped circle was cut using a die from my stash and then I added the mixy-matchy adorable little tree inside the circle.  To create the multi-color tree, I stamped the tree image from the Trim the Tree set twice in two different colors, die cut using the Trim the Tree Sweet Cuts set, fussy cut along the horizontal lines and then paper pieced the tree back together, alternating the colors – easy peesy!  The star was die cut from gold glitter paper using the Trim the Tree Sweet Cuts set!

Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop with Paper Sweeties!

announce 2016

Welcome to day #1 of the annual holiday Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop hosted by Lori Hairston!  I’m thrilled that Lori invited me to share some projects again this year and hope my creations will help spark your creativity this holiday season!  CLICK on the photos to see larger views!

papersweeties-debbie-12-4-16(2)

I created a 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ card using Sweet Emma!  I love making smaller sized, square cards … and the extra cardstock that is cut off the end of a full sheet of paper is perfect for little bits and bobs and great for paper piecing smaller things onto larger images – like Emma’s outfit!  First I stamped Emma onto vanilla cardstock and then die cut her using the Emma Sweet Cuts die.  To dress her for taking a walk outside in the blustery snow, I used the Let it Snow stamp set!

papersweeties-debbie-12-4-16(1)

First I stamped the hat, coat and boots onto white cardstock.  Next I stamped the hat, coat and leggins on patterned paper.  I cut out all the outfit images and then had fun dressing Emma – aka paper piecing the images onto the Emma body base!  Paper piecing is the most FUN thing to do … as a little girl, I used to play with paper dolls for hours and hours, and now that I’m a grown up girl, I still love to play dress up!  I die cut the snow drift with white glitter paper using the Thanks Snow Much Sweet Cuts set, stamped the sentiment using Thanks Snow Much and then added some sparkly snowflakes using Winter Mix Sequins!

papersweeties-debbie-12-1-16(2)

This was a FUN card to make and it came together in a snap … a great card to make if you’re mass producing a bunch of cards, invitations or thank you notes!

papersweeties-debbie-12-1-16(1)

I stamped the images on the white cardstock layer and then added sequins and bow!  Products used from the Paper Sweeties boutique:  Merry Little Christmas and Gold Sequins!

papersweeties-debbie-12-1-16(4)

I also have a layout to share that I created inspired by this month’s board!

papersweeties-debbie-12-1-16(5)

This LO literally took me 5 minutes to make – easy peesy!  I added my photos to look like the shape of a tree.  The trunk is a piece of scrap brown cardstock.  I punched a gold glitter star and then added some Gold Sequins, a die cut Joy word and several presents under the tree die cut using Stitched Tags #3 Sweet Cuts & Merry and Bright Patterned Paper!

The second project I created for today’s release is this CAS card …

papersweeties-debbie-11-15-16(4)

I used the *NEW* Jingle all the Way stamp set along with our Sweet Borders Sweet Cuts to create the adorable scalloped border … and finished it off with some of our delicious Merry and Bright Patterned Papers!  If you need to mass produce some holiday cards, invitations or thank you notes quickly for the holidays, this is your card — less than 5 minutes to design, so you could make a bunch in a snap!

Paper Sweeties | November 2016 Release Sneak Peeks!

Hello crafty friends — welcome to day #1 of the November 2016 *NEW* product release here at Paper Sweeties!  I hope you were inspired  yesterday by the projects the Design Teamies and I shared using our *NEW* planner stamps and digital calendar pages!  If you missed yesterday’s festivities, click –> HERE <– to check out all the creativity!

papersweeties-debbie-11-14-16(2)

For today’s sneak peek projects, first I’m sharing a card I created using some of the new goodies which will be live in the boutique TOMORROW  —  (Click on the photos for larger views!)

papersweeties-debbie-11-14-16(1)

I used the *NEW* Stand Add-on: Sweet Treats and Stand Add-on: Sweet Treats Sweet Cuts sets in combination with the Sweeties Stand to create the yummiest gingerbread house!  It was so much fun ‘building the house’ on my card using gumdrops, candy canes, waffle sugar cookies and peppermint candy stamped and die cut images!  I used our *NEW* Planner Series: Happy Holidays stamp set for the sentiment, and then I added a couple of Winter Mix Sequins and Pink Grapefruit Sequins for a little pop of sparkle!  I love the white glitter die cut ‘icing’ for the snow on the roof and top of the chimney!  SO FUN!

papersweeties-debbie-11-14-16(4)

My second project was created using our *NEW* Stand Add-on: Sweet Treats stamp set for the sentiment in combination with our Basket Sweet Cuts, Little Wishes, Beautiful Little Wishes Sweet Cuts, Red and White Chenille Candy Canes and Robin Egg Seam Binding!

papersweeties-debbie-11-14-16(3)

The sweet little basket was created by die cutting two baskets and then adhering to a box that I cut and scored.  To make one yourself, you will cut cardstock 5 1/2″ x 4 1/2″, score on all four sides at 1 1/2″ and then cut slits on two score lines on the long sides of the box up to the first intersection of the score lines.  This will allow you to fold on score lines, fold sides in on each other and adhere using double sided tape and/or hot glue.  Enjoy!

Hello crafty friends!  It’s that time of the month again … time for a NEW challenge at Paper Sweeties!  Before we share the new inspiration board, let’s congratulate last month’s challenge winner … the votes are in and I’m thrilled to announce our latest winner of the October challenge:  Karen Letchworth!

papersweeties-karen

Karen created the sweetest card for our October challenge inspired by the colors using the Abigail and So Proud of You stamp sets along with the Abigail Sweet Cuts die!  I love the way Karen dressed Abigail for a fall walk through the pumpkin patch!  Contact us, Karen, to claim your $25 gift certificate prize and get the challenge details for your Guest Designer spot with Paper Sweeties next month … and here’s a {sweet} badge to display on your blog – enjoy!

PS-Winner BadgePaper Sweeties hosts monthly challenges here on the blog! Each 1st of the month we will have a brand new inspiration board to help spark your creativity!  It’s as easy as 1-2-3 to create, share and win:

1. CREATE a NEW project based on the current inspiration board using ANY of your favorite crafty supplies … you don’t have to use products from Paper Sweeties, but we would LOVE if you did!  (If you don’t have any stamps from Paper Sweeties yet, we have some complimentary digital images created specifically for this challenge that you can try).  Use this month’s board as a starting point for your project — be inspired by one or more of the colors, shapes, theme … ANYTHING GOES!

2. POST a DIRECT LINK to your project in our link gallery below — please link to your blog post (not your entire blog) so we can easily find your creation.  No blog, no problem — you can use any of our online galleries to upload your project: FacebookInstagram, Flickr, Pinterest or Splitcoast Stampers – keyword papersweeties!

3. LINK back to this blog post so your readers can easily find us!

Our challenge will run for the entire month. You can play along as many times as you wish and combine with as many other challenges as you want! The challenges will end at 12 pm EST on the last day of each month. The winner will be revealed on the 1st of each month!
