Happy New Year – TSTR #199

Happy New Year – TSTR #199

Photo Inspiration #199

We have a Color Challenge this week at The Shabby Tea Room #199 – black, kraft and cream!

Debbie TSTR #199 (2)

The Tea Room is sponsored this week by The Cutting Cafe and I got to create with the Wine Glass shaped card cut file — love it!!  I cut the template out using cream cardstock and then added a black cardstock base and cream and black damask patterned paper for the upper portion of the glass.  I added some pretty lace and rhinestone trim from Prima along with white chipboard numbers, a cream satin flower and kraft die cut leaves.

To finish off this festive card, I stamped the ‘Happy New Year’ sentiment onto a cream cardstock banner using the Occasions stamp set from Paper Sweeties and added to the rim of the glass by adhering the banner to a pewter trinket pin.  The final step was to add a glass charm — a silver metal and rhinestone charm tied on with silver elastic cord!

Please visit The Shabby Tea Room to check out the lovely inspiration projects created by the rest of the Shabby Girls … and then I hope you’ll have time to share a project with us this week for the color challenge theme!

Oh now that’s creative. I didn’t know it was a wine glass at first, but after reading the details, now I can really see it and even wondered how I missed it at first glance. It’s very fun and I really like the damask print.
