25 Days of Christmas Tags | 2015

25DaysofChristmasTagsHello crafty friends!  I’m super excited to be sharing a little something FUN today created for the 2015 edition of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags!  I so appreciate the kind invitation to participate from my stampy friend, Tracey McNeely!  This is the 5th anniversary of Tracey’s holiday hop and my 2nd year participating – yay!!  (Click on photos for larger views)

I started with a yummy hot cocoa set, complete with marshmallows and peppermint candy crunch and I  decorated it with some adorable felt mittens and fun paper straws … in a non-traditional holiday color palette — hot pink and aqua — LOVE!

I die cut the mittens twice – once using aqua felt and once using hot pink felt.  Next I stuffed a tiny piece of cotton inside the mittens, layered a length of Cotton Candy Baker’s Twine between the front and back mitten layers and hot glued around the edges to seal all the pieces together.  I added the hot pink felt cuff onto the top of each mitten and then finished them off with die cut white glitter holly leaves and some beautiful satin, pearl and rhinestone blooms!

I tied a couple of Robin Egg and Raspberry Paper Straws onto the top of the hot cocoa treat using some hot pink gingham ribbon — and to finish this yummy project off, I hot glued two silver jingle bells onto the gingham ribbon!
