27 Jan Celebrate Your Day – TKJ #156
We have a sketch challenge this week at The Kraft Journal – FUN!
I needed a masculine card for my father-in-law’s birthday next week, so I set to work to create something especially for him based on this week’s sketch! This ‘girlie girl’ always finds it quite a challenge to create something masculine … without pink, lace or flowers! I began with a base of Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock onto which I layered an embossed white layer. Next I added another layer of embossed Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock. A snipett of Black Twill Tape was added on top of the embossed cardstock layers.
I created a patterned layer using Black Polka Dot Washi, Damask Washi and Music Note Washi Tape along with a length of Bright White Hemp Cording. Last I stamped a sentiment onto White Pearlized Decorative Label using the So Sweet of You stamp set from Paper Sweeties!
Please be sure to visit The Kraft Journal challenge blog to check out the yummy inspiration projects created by the rest of the teamies … and then I hope you’ll have time to play along this week for a chance to win a delicious goodies from The Kraft Outlet Shop!
Hugs!
