Special Friend Blend – TKJ feature!

Hello crafty friends!  I'm popping in today to share a little something I recently created for a feature over at The Kraft Journal using some amazing goodies available from the Kraft Outlet shop!

Debbie TKJ 9-12-14(2)

I began today's project by inserting a packet of Vanilla Bean Chiller mix into a White Kraft Coffee Bag and then folding a white paper doilie over the top.  I created a tag by adhering a die cut tea pot to a Grungy Prim Shipping Tag using the Tea For Two Sweet Cuts die and then added a couple of microfine glittered stickers - a tea cup and a creamer.  I stamped the sentiment using the Tea For Two stamp set and then added a couple of Black Cherry Sequins.  A length of Bright Hemp Cording - blue was tied around the top of the tag and then it was attached to the top of the paper doilie using a Vintage Memories Wooden Clothespin.

Debbie TKJ 9-12-14(3)

I adhered a length of Black & White Damask Washi Tape along the bottom of the White Kraft Coffee Bag and then created a pretty paper bloom using Vintage Dictionary Pages, an Office Chipboard Button, a piece of Bright Hemp Cording - natural and a couple of white satin leaves!

Friend to Friend – TKJ spotlight

Debbie TKJ 8-22-14(1)

This week, I am featuring some of the amazing packaging options available at the Kraft Outlet shop!  These pretty packing options in combination with the wide variety of embellishments you can find at the Kraft Outlet will help you to create handmade treasures from the heart!

Debbie TKJ 8-22-14(2)

I began with a Small Kraft Pillow Box onto which I adhered strips of Blue and White Polka Dot Washi Tape.   I hand cut two leaves using some Burlap and glued them to the box.  Next I added an Office Chipboard Button and a pretty muslin flower.  I stamped a sentiment onto a Round Metal Edge Grungy Prim Tag using the Banner Wishes stamp set from Paper Sweeties and then tied a snipett of Dove Grey Hand-Stained Bias Tape onto the tag.  Last, I attached the tag to the box using a Vintage Memories Wooden Clothespin.  This little gift set is for my sweet friend, Suzi, who attends all the Paper Sweeties shows with me.  We are in Lewisville, NC this weekend doing a trunk show and card class at Enchanted Cottage!  Without her amazing help, I couldn't do these shows so seamlessly!  THANK YOU, Suzi!

Showering You With … TKJ designer spotlight

Debbie TKJ 7-25-14(2)

Today I am sharing a baby boy card I created using some fun products from The Kraft Outlet shop!  To begin, I embossed a piece of Buff Ivory Cardstock with polka dots, adhered it to a layer of blue cardstock and then adhered to a white cardstock base.  Next, I added some Blue and White Polka Dot Washi Tape to the bottom of a Mini Notebook Merchandise Bag.  I stamped a sentiment at the top of the Mini Notebook Merchandise Bag using the Splish Splash stamp set.  Next, I die cut an umbrella shape using the Showering You With Love Sweet Cuts die and then embossed it with polka dots.  Last, I tied a bow created using Butter Hand Stained Bias Tape onto the umbrella handle.

Debbie TKJ 7-25-14(1)

The pull out tag was created using a Grungy Prim Shipping Tag.  I stamped the sentiment, sweet birds and branch using the Splish Splash stamp set.  I colored the images with glitter markers for a pop of sparkle!  Next, I stamped the little egg using the Wagon Add-on: bloom & grow stamp set, cut it out and then added to a 'nest' of Spanish Moss.  To finish off the tag, I added a row Blue and White Polka Dot Washi Tape to coordinate with the envelope on the front of the card and then tied a length of Pastel Hemp Cord around the top of the tag!

Showering You With Love – TKJ spotlight

Hi crafty peeps!  I'm popping in today to share a little something I recently created with lots of goodness from The Kraft Outlet Shop!

Debbie TKJ 6-27-14(2)

I began with a base of Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock onto which I layered some pink cardstock and then another layer of Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock.  Several lengths of Pink & White Polka Dot Washi Tape were added to the second piece of kraft cardstock (in the middle).  An umbrella shape was die cut from a piece of Buff Ivory Cardstock using the Showering You With Love Sweet Cuts die and then layered on top of the base layers.  A strip of Pink & White Washi Tape was added across the bottom of the card and then a Rose Beige Bias Tape bow was tied and added to the base of the card.  Machine zig-zag stitching was added around the edges.  Two cute clouds were die cut using the Showering You With Love Sweet Cuts die and then layered on top of one another using dimensionals in between the layers.

Debbie TKJ 6-27-14(3)

Several Robin Egg Sequins were added for 'raindrops' and then a sentiment was added using the Showering You With Love stamp set.

I am completely smitten with this oh-so sweet card!  I hope it inspires you to make one of you own!!

A Special Tea Party with The Kraft Journal!

Debbie TKJ 4-25-14(4)

Today I am sharing a tea-themed gift set she created with all the wonderful packaging options offered at The Kraft Outlet!  There are so many fun options to choose from to help make your creative visions a reality!  First, I created a birthday card by cutting a scallop shaped base using Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock and inking the edges with cream paint to create a time-worn look.  Next I layered a white paper doilie and then a pretty little tea pot image she stamped directly onto patterned paper using the Tea For Two stamp set and then die cut using the Tea For Two Sweet Cuts die.  Next I added a sentiment banner I stamped onto Buff Ivory Cardstock using the Occasions stamp set - inking the edges with Twill paint.  I created a sweet little 'tea bag tag' by stamping the heart image onto Buff Ivory Cardstock using the Little Wishes stamp set, stamping the sentiment using the It's Tea Time stamp set, die cutting using the Beautiful Little Wishes Sweet Cuts die set and then attaching it to the tea pot using Robin Egg Baker's Twine.  Last, some Robin Egg Sequins and a pretty satin flower were added for a little pop of color at the top of the tea pot.

Debbie TKJ 4-25-14(6)

I personalized the back of this card using the Hand Stamped By stamp set!

Debbie TKJ 4-25-14(3)

Next, I created a sweet 'Tea For Two' tea bag set by wrapping two Berry Blossom White tea bags with a length of Baby Pink Berry Seam Binding and then creating a bow using another snipett of the Baby Pink Berry and a piece of Cake Crumbs Seam Binding.  A tag was stamped onto Buff Ivory Cardstock using the Beautiful stamp set and cut with the coordinating Beautiful Little Wishes Sweet Cuts die set, a sentiment added using the Tea For Two stamp set, a tiny tea cup and steam were stamped onto another piece of Buff Ivory Cardstock using the I'm Having a Tea Party stamp set and then this little treat was finished by adding three beautiful iridescent Bubblegum Sequins!

Debbie TKJ 4-25-14(5)

I created another treat to include in this gift set by adding some Pink and White Polka Dot Washi Tape to the bottom of a Small Glassine Bag.  I die cut a doilie shape using a piece of Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock, folded it in half and placed it over the Glassine Bag (which has a couple of Raspberry Tea Cookies placed inside).  The doilie is held in place using a Tiny Black Wooden Clothespin.  I created a pretty little nosegay using a Chipboard Office Button, a pretty satin flower and a couple of leaves cut from a piece of Burlap. To finish off this little sweet treat, I stamped a Grungy Prim Shipping Tag with a sentiment using the Join Me For Tea stamp set, added a couple of Bubblegum Sequins and then tied it onto the nosegay using a length of Robin Egg Baker's Twine onto which I tied a couple of Rusty Bells.

Debbie TKJ 4-25-14(1)

I created a pretty bag to hold all of the gift set elements by adding a strip of Pink and White Stripe Washi Tape onto the bottom of a Mini Polka Dot Merchandise Bag.  Next I folded a white paper doilie over the top of the bag and added a length of Natural Burlap Ribbon which she frayed the ends to give it a shabby look.  I adhered a pretty pink tulle bow and a couple of 'leaves' I created using a Robin Egg Paper Straw.  The doilie is held in place using a glittered library clip.

Debbie TKJ 4-25-14(2)

And there you have it ... a sweet treat gift set so much fun to make ... and even more fun to give and receive!   Please visit The Kraft Journal Challenge Blog to see the complete post on this gift set!

Peeps – TKJ Weekly Spotlight!

Debbie TKJ #166 (2)

Hello crafty 'peeps'!  Today I am spotlighting some of the awesome packaging options carried at The Kraft Outlet Shop!  I began by wrapping a piece of Blue with White Polka Dot Washi Tape around the bottom of a 3x3x2 Kraft Box.  Next I added a piece of paper doilie and onto that I layered a pretty paper bloom and leaves that I hand cut from a Library Card.

Debbie TKJ #166 (3)

Next, I stamped a Grungy Prim Shipping Tag #2 with a sentiment from the Wagon Add-on: bloom & grow stamp set from Paper Sweeties and then added a couple of Grape Sequins.  I tied the tag onto the box using a snipett of Pastel Hemp Cording.  To finish off the top of this Easter gift box, I added a sweet, fluffy pink 'peep'!

Debbie TKJ #166 (1)

I slipped some goodies inside a Mini Graph Paper Merchandise Bag and then punched a scalloped circle topper using more Library Card paper.  I secured the bag closed with some more Pastel Hemp Cording and then added a Round Metal Edge Grungy Prim Tag onto which I stamped another sentiment from the Wagon Add-on: bloom & grow set and finished this sweet Easter gift off with a couple more Grape Sequins and a pretty Tiny Colored Wooden Clothespin.  I slipped the tiny goodie bag inside the Kraft box and my sweet gift was complete!

Hello Spring – TKJ #164

TKJ #164

For this week's 'Color Challenge' at The Kraft Journal, I created a spring theme card full of dots - inspired by the colors and bubbles from the inspiration photo!

Debbie TKJ #164 (5)

I began with a base of Buff Ivory Cardstock onto which I layered a piece of Kraft & Black Patterned Paper.  Next I created an Easter egg shape made using five layers of Washi Tape that correspond with the colors from the photo ... LOVE!  I wound a piece of Bright Green Hemp Cording around the middle of the egg and then tied a Round Metal Edge Grungy Prim Tag onto the Hemp Cording which was stamped with a 'spring' sentiment and then I added some pretty iridescent Tuti-Fruti Sequins!

Debbie TKJ #164 (4)

To finish my card, I stamped a sentiment banner image onto Buff Ivory Cardstock using the Wagon Add-on: bloom & grow stamp set, cut it out and adhered it to the base of the card.

For this week's 'Lucky Green' challenge, I created a sweet treat ... suitable for giving as a gift and wonderful to use as a favor at a party or shower!

Debbie TKJ#162 (4)

I began with a darling Cotton Drawstring Bag onto which I adhered a length of White with Red Polka Dot Washi Tape along the bottom.  Next I stamped a frame image and sentiment directly onto the fabric using the Best Wishes stamp set from Paper Sweeties.  I adhered three beautiful Peppermint Iridescent Sequins onto the frame for a pop of color and to coordinate with the dots in the Washi Tape.  Next I created a pretty nosegay at the top of my treat bag using Mint Green Tea Seam Binding, a paper flower from Prima and leaves cut from Corrugated Paper.

Debbie TKJ#162 (6)

Inside the treat bag, I packaged some tea cookies inside a Small Cello Bag and then tied it with some additional Mint Green Tea Seam Binding.

Debbie TKJ#162 (5)

To finish this little sweet treat, I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Buff Ivory Cardstock using the Home Sweet Home stamp set, tied it onto the treat bag using Green Baker's Twine and then added a Rusty Bell to complete the design.

The challenge this week at The Kraft Journal is all about 'Love'!  I created a sweet little gift box and tag - suitable for giving a sweet treat for Valentine's Day or anytime you need a pretty little packaging for a special little something!  I began with a Kraft Box onto which I layered some Pink & White Polka Dot Washi Tape and another piece of Black and White Damask Washi Tape.  Next I die cut a pink glittered heart and adhered it to the top of the box.

 Debbie TKJ #158 (3)
