01 Oct Paper Sweeties challenge | October 2017!
Hello crafty friends! It’s that time of the month again … time for a NEW challenge at Paper Sweeties! Before we share the new inspiration board, let’s congratulate last month’s challenge winner … the votes are in and I’m thrilled to announce our latest winner of the September challenge: Cherry!
We just love both of these oh-so-sweet cards Cherry created! Abigail is dressed so adorable in her outfit from the Life is a Picnic stamp set and sentiment from the Sweetie Pie stamp set and looks to be having fun out walking on this fine fall day! Contact us, Cherry, to claim your $25 gift certificate prize … and here’s a {sweet} badge to display on your blog!
Paper Sweeties hosts monthly challenges here on the blog and in our Facebook Group! Each 1st of the month we will have a brand new inspiration board to help spark your creativity! It’s as easy as 1-2-3 to create, share and win:
1. CREATE a NEW project based on the current inspiration board using ANY of your favorite crafty supplies … you don’t have to use products from Paper Sweeties, but we would LOVE if you did! Use this month’s board as a starting point for your project — be inspired by one or more of the colors, shapes, theme … ANYTHING GOES!
2. POST a direct link to your project in the link gallery below (if using your blog, please link to your blog post not your entire blog so we can find your creation) or UPLOAD a photo of your project to our FACEBOOK GROUP CHALLENGE ALBUM . No blog or not on Facebook, no problem — you can use any of our online galleries to add your project link: Instagram, Flickr, Pinterest or Splitcoast Stampers – (keyword papersweeties). Contact us if you have questions or need assistance!
3. LINK back to this blog post so your followers can find us too! (Back linked posts will not be considered for the monthly prize).
Our challenge will run for the entire month. You can play along as many times as you wish and combine with as many other challenges as you want! The challenges will end at 12 pm EST on the last day of each month. The winner will be revealed on the 1st of each month!
This month’s inspiration board:
HOW will YOU be inspired this month — colors, theme, shapes, patterns? I was inspired by the theme, colors and patterns in this month’s yummy photo! (CLICK on the photos for close up views):
I am sneaking a sentiment from one of our *new* sets that will be releasing in the Paper Sweeties boutique on the 15th of this month … you’re going to LOVE the (hint) stitched tag and awesome sentiments from the For You stamp and Sweet Cuts die sets! I created a sweet fall theme basket and filled it with caramel candies for my first project. The tag was created using the Little Wishes stamp and coordinating Beautiful Little Wishes Sweet Cuts set!
I used our Basket and Basket Sweet Cuts to make this adorable treat holder! The box inside is cardstock that I cut 4 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and then scored at 1 1/2″ on all four sides and folded into a box shape.
I created a coordinating 3″ x 3″ card using the Thank You stamp and die SET along with the Square Scallop Framed Sweet Cuts die set, Creamsicle Sequins, Cookie Dough Sequins and Pink Grapefruit Sequins.
What an easy little card to mass produce if you need a bunch of them … and who wouldn’t want to receive a yummy little treat basket like this filled with candy, cookies, a gift card, money, etc.! Makes GREAT TEACH APPRECIATION GIFTS for the upcoming holidays too!
