You are the most Wonderful … RC #94

RCC 94

I'm sharing a little something I whipped up for the latest challenge at the Ribbon Carousel blog!

I designed a golf-theme card for the dad's in my life!  I created a golf ball by embossing a die cut circle shape with polka dots and then adhered it to the card on a white golf tee!  The sentiment was stamped using the You Are The Most Wonderful stamp set from Paper Sweeties, and then I added a couple of Green Apple Sequins for some sparkle!

Hip, Hip HOORAY – RCC #91

RCC 91

It's 'Party Time' at the Ribbon Carousel challenge blog!

I created a bright and cheery card that could be used to celebrate a birthday ... or any fun and special occasion!  I stamped the sentiments in hot pink and lime green using the ConGRADulations and So Sweet of You stamps sets.  I added a couple of strips of yummy Washi Tape across the center of the card.  And then to finish things off, I created a couple candles using Green Apple and Raspberry Paper Straws along with coordinating Green Apple and Raspberry Baker's Twine from the Paper Sweeties boutique!

L-O-V-E … RC#90

RCC 90Hello crafty friends!  I'm here today sharing a little something I whipped up for the current Ribbon Carousel challenge - Washi Tape ... YUMMY!  I am {completely addicted} to Washi Tape!  Those sweet little spools sitting on my Ribbon Carousel just make me smile!

I created my card using a bold and bright palette of hot pink and aqua and added several different patterns of Washi Tape along the front of my card.  To fill in, I added some stamping using the Love and Borders stamp sets along with Robin Egg Sequins, Raspberry Baker's Twine and aqua pom-pom trim secured with machine zig-zag stitching!

This card was just too much fun to make!  I think you'll want to make one of your own using your favorite Washi Tape ... be careful -- it's addictive!

Ribbon Carousel love …

1 no watermark carousel pic 640Hello crafty friends!  I have a special little post today ... I'm here to share a little happy mail I recently received from Corinna, owner of the Ribbon Carousel!

Corinna invited me to guest design for the Ribbon Carousel during the month of October, so I've been sharing some of the autumn and Halloween projects I've been creating all month long!

DSCN1553As a thank you, Corinna graciously sent me one of these awesome Ribbon Carousels!  How did she 'know' I was a ribbon-aholic???  I filled it up lickity-split with some of my very favorite spooled treasures!

It holds 15 delicious colors of tea-stained seam binding from Paper Sweeties (I had been looking for a way to house all the seam binding that I keep close for daily use on all my crafty projects!) along with yummy washi tapes ...

... and some of my favorite autumn colored tulle - Kraft, chocolate and cherry!

DSCN1555It immediately found a place of honor on the top shelf in my stamp room ... and my new Ribbon Carousel is very happy living with its new friends to the left and right -- more and more spools of eye candy ribbon!  Thanks, Corinna -- LOVE it to pieces 🙂

A shabby ‘boo’ …

papersweeties-debbie-10-2-13(1) Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog today!  I'm here to share a pretty little something I made to decorate my home this fall season!  {click on the photos to view larger pictures of each shot}

papersweeties-debbie-10-2-13(4)I live in a {pink} Victorian, so orange is a bit difficult for me to decorate with ... although I'm seeing a lot of orange and hot pink paired together on Pinterest these days, so maybe these two colors really do 'go' together after all!  Call my old fashioned, but when I think of the fall season and Halloween, I think dark, rich colors ... black!

papersweeties-debbie-10-2-13(3)So, I set out to decorate this pretty white pumpkin my hubby brought home this past weekend -- with lots of bits and bobs of treasures from my craft room baskets!  I made a triple layered bow beginning with some re-purposed burlap from my friend, Suzi, layering white tulle on top of that and then completing the bow with some shabby, tea-stained Cake Crumbs and Oatmeal Cream seam binding from Paper Sweeties!

papersweeties-debbie-10-2-13(2)I decorated a grungy tag from The Kraft Outlet using some sparkly gold & bronze glittered chipboard alphas, a gorgeous strip of washi tape (I'm addicted to it!), a white Prima paper flower, a black button and sticker, a jingle bell tied onto a black wooden clothespin using black baker's twine.

papersweeties-debbie-10-2-13(5)I wrapped a vintage piece of hand-crocheted trim that I picked up while antiquing at the Liberty Antique Show around the base of the stem and then added some spooled chiffon trim on top of the crochet trim to create dimension!  Last I added some sparkle by adhering a couple of rhinestone flourishes!

Polka-Dot-Pumpkin-Blog-Hop-IconI have a couple of FUN places I am creating for this month!  First up is the Polka Dot Pumpkin Blog Hop over at Zappy Dots ... if you haven't stopped by to check out all their amazing inspiration yet, you must do so!  Delicious projects shared for all of your crafting needs!!  Paper Sweeties is the featured business today - yay!  Thank you Zappy Dots!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, my friends!  Until next time, happy crafting!
