Debbie TKJ #118 (3)For today’s ‘Recycle or Reuse’ challenge #118 at The Kraft Journal, I used Spanish moss picked from trees while walking on a golf course in Florida and a stick from my backyard as my recycle/reuse items!  I created a white cardstock base onto which I layered black cardstock.  I added a strip of Music Note Tape on the bottom and tied a couple of lengths of Red Baker’s Twine around the card.

I added a die cut bird cage and then decorated it with the moss nest, twig perch and a die cut bird.  To make the bird, I adhered some Red Polka Dot Tape onto cardstock and then cut the bird shape.  A pretty paper bloom was added along with two Garnet Stick Pins for balance.

Last, I added an I {heart} U sentiment stamped using the Fancy Monograms stamp set from Paper Sweeties!

Please be sure to visit The Kraft Journal challenge blog to check out the amazing inspiration projects created by the rest of the teamies!  We hope you’ll play along with our ‘Recycle or Reuse’ challenge for your chance to win some goodness from The Kraft Outlet Shop!

Challenges I took inspiration from: Runway Inspired Challenge #34 – black, white, red; Ribbon Carousel  #80 – showers & flowers; Paper Issues – serendipity

  1. Ohh my goodness, this little creation turned out so sweet! I love how you brought in the stick and moss, there’s no way I could ever do something like that…I’m in awe!

  2. Adorable card! I just love it. I especially like that you used spanish moss from Florida! 🙂 I have it all over my yard and never thought to use it on a card! Thank you for sharing and have a great week!
