I’m so Sorry – TKJ #160

sketch160

Hello crafty friends — welcome to The Kraft Journal #160!  We have a sketch challenge this week … so fun!  I took the opportunity to create a sympathy card, but this versatile sketch can be the starting point for any kind of card that you are in need of!

Debbie TKJ #158 (2)

I began with a base of Buff Ivory Cardstock onto which I layered a piece of Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock, followed by a piece of Blackboard Paper.  Next I added a pretty piece of patterned paper from the Kraft Cardstock pack and then machine zig-zag stitched around the outer edges.  I added a snipett of Black Twill Tape, securing it to the back of the layers, and then wound some Black Baker’s Twine around the Twill Tape and tied the ends in a knot.

I die cut two circle shapes using red and Buff Ivory Cardstock and then stamped the sentiment on a banner die cut from Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock using the Occasions stamp set from Paper Sweeties.  The final step was the addition of two tiny sequins!

Please be sure to visit The Kraft Journal to check out the wonderful inspiration projects created by the rest of the teamies … and then I hope you’ll have time to give our sketch challenge a try this week for a chance to win some goodness from The Kraft Outlet Shop!

Inspired by these challenges:  Mojo Monday #334 – sketch; Pile it On #8 – thinking of you; Top Tip Tuesday – stitching
