Hello sweeties and welcome!  I’m popping in today to share a project I recently designed for The Shabby Tea Room #161 – ‘Shabby Spring’!  Rebecca is our creative host and she has chosen this lovely photo for our inspiration this week …

Photo Inspiration #161

… and Rebecca asks that we create a card or project inspired by the COLORS and THEME of the photo and make it SHABBY!

Debbie TSTR #161 (3)I designed a 3-D topiary birdhouse using a gorgeous vintage birdhouse image from Digital Papers by Janet Etsy!  I included a text piece of flair from my friend, Joscelyn’s shop for the house peep hole!  I made a little next using some spanish moss I collected from a golf course in Florida — my hubby and sons were golfing and I was collecting goodies from nature to craft with!

Debbie TSTR #161 (4)The little blue robin eggs are berries from the craft store, a twig from my yard, celery green leaf stick pins from Flourishes and a bird punched from text paper!

Debbie TSTR #161 (5)I created a shabby bow using Lacey Blueberry and Vintage Winter White tea-stained seam binding from the shoppe … and stamped the sentiment for the tag using the Jelly Bean Time stamp set.  The sentiment was then adhered onto a pink vintage tape strip from Janet’s shop.

I adore creating spring themed projects — it’s such a wonderful time of the year!  Everything is new and fresh and anticipation is high for summer time to approach — picnics, trips to the lake, beach vacations, fireworks, family fun!

Please be sure to hop on over to The Shabby Tea Room to check out the other Shabby Girls beautiful projects this week!  We hope you’ll have time to play along with our ‘Shabby Spring’ challenge for a chance to win some yummy goodies from Digital Papers By Janet Etsy!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Inspired by these challenges:  The Ribbon Carousel #80 – showers and flowers; Tuesday Throwdown #141 – 2 colors/2 things that start with ‘T’ (pink/blue; tag/twine); Really Reasonable Ribbons #69 – buttons & bows; Catered Crop – twine

  1. Again, Debbie, a beautiful project but it won’t qualify for the prize drawing because of our 3-entry limit at Tuesday Throwdown. 😀
