Sweet New Baby | Girl |

Hi crafty peeps!  I'm popping in today to share a very special little something I recently created for a very special lady's upcoming special delivery from the stork!  Lesley Croghan was a wonderful member of the Paper Sweeties Creative Design Team for a while, and we were so blessed to have her sharing her talents with us all using goodies from our shop!

I couldn't be any happier for Lesley and her hubby ... I am sure they can hardly wait for their little bundle of joy to make her appearance!

I created this 'sweet' card using the negative dies cut from the card I created and posted yesterday for the Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop!  The scalloped frame is coming soon to Paper Sweeties on April 15th ... the image and sentiment were stamped using the Bundle of Joy stamp set and then die cut using the Bundle of Joy Sweet Cuts set!  The small heart was die cut using the Sweet Borders Sweet Cuts set!

I'm sharing my card with the current March 'anything goes' Challenge at Paper Sweeties - inspired by the colors!

So happy for you, Lesley!  I cannot wait to see pictures of Little Miss Croghan once she makes her debut!  Thank you to Lori and Nancy from the Paper Sweeties Design Team for organizing this fun hop!  Hugs - xoxox

announce 2016

Welcome to the 3rd and final day of the annual holiday Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop hosted by Lori Hairston!  I'm thrilled that Lori invited me to share some projects again this year and hope my creations will help spark your creativity this holiday season!  CLICK on the photos to see larger views!

For today's project share, I made a garland to decorate a mantle or hang on the tree!

papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(2)papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(3)

I strung this garland along a pine bough lit with white jingle bell ornaments for you to see how you use the project to decorate your home or office ...

papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(10)papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(4)

... but this one is being mailed to my son that lives up in Philly.  He will be putting up his very first Christmas tree in his apartment this year, so he is in need of some decorations!

I think he'll like this handmade from the heart decoration ... what do you think???

papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(11)papersweeties-debbie-12-7-16(14)

It was really fun to make ... and even more fun to give away!

Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop with Paper Sweeties | Day #2

announce 2016

Welcome to day #2 of the annual holiday Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop hosted by Lori Hairston!  I'm thrilled that Lori invited me to share some projects again this year and hope my creations will help spark your creativity this holiday season!  CLICK on the photos to see larger views!

papersweeties-debbie-12-5-16(2)

I created another couple of 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" cards for today's project share!  This design is simple and quick (perfect for our busy schedules this time of the year), and would make a sweet thank you or birthday card for the winter season!

papersweeties-debbie-12-5-16(1)

I added faux stitching to the kraft cardstock base using a chalk marker and then stamped the sentiment using the Let it Snow stamp set.  I die cut the mitten from patterned paper using the Stitched Tags #2 Sweet Cuts set and then die cut the mitten cuff from white felt.  The beautiful holly and berries was created by die cutting the leaves from green glitter paper using the Holly Days Sweet Cuts set and then adding some sparkly 'berries' using the Mistletoe Sequins mix!  To finish this card off, I tied some Cupcake Seam Binding on the top of the tag!

papersweeties-debbie-12-6-16(1)

My second card today is another  simple and quick design that can be easily mass produced - especially since you are stamping the tree twice to make this one card (once in red and once in green), so you're doubling up and saving time!

papersweeties-debbie-12-6-16(2)

I added faux stitching to the kraft cardstock base using a chalk marker and then stamped the sentiment using the Merry and Bright stamp set.  The scalloped circle was cut using a die from my stash and then I added the mixy-matchy adorable little tree inside the circle.  To create the multi-color tree, I stamped the tree image from the Trim the Tree set twice in two different colors, die cut using the Trim the Tree Sweet Cuts set, fussy cut along the horizontal lines and then paper pieced the tree back together, alternating the colors - easy peesy!  The star was die cut from gold glitter paper using the Trim the Tree Sweet Cuts set!

Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop with Paper Sweeties!

announce 2016

Welcome to day #1 of the annual holiday Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop hosted by Lori Hairston!  I'm thrilled that Lori invited me to share some projects again this year and hope my creations will help spark your creativity this holiday season!  CLICK on the photos to see larger views!

papersweeties-debbie-12-4-16(2)

I created a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" card using Sweet Emma!  I love making smaller sized, square cards ... and the extra cardstock that is cut off the end of a full sheet of paper is perfect for little bits and bobs and great for paper piecing smaller things onto larger images - like Emma's outfit!  First I stamped Emma onto vanilla cardstock and then die cut her using the Emma Sweet Cuts die.  To dress her for taking a walk outside in the blustery snow, I used the Let it Snow stamp set!

papersweeties-debbie-12-4-16(1)

First I stamped the hat, coat and boots onto white cardstock.  Next I stamped the hat, coat and leggins on patterned paper.  I cut out all the outfit images and then had fun dressing Emma - aka paper piecing the images onto the Emma body base!  Paper piecing is the most FUN thing to do ... as a little girl, I used to play with paper dolls for hours and hours, and now that I'm a grown up girl, I still love to play dress up!  I die cut the snow drift with white glitter paper using the Thanks Snow Much Sweet Cuts set, stamped the sentiment using Thanks Snow Much and then added some sparkly snowflakes using Winter Mix Sequins!

Little Prince Designer’s Hop …

Edited:  Announcing the winner of the $20 gift certificate to the Paper Sweeties shoppe from the comments left on this post:
"What an awesome hop… can’t wait to see everyone’s creations… and learn a thing or two…Thanks for the chance… your creations are adorable…morentin1326
adventureofthecreativemind.blogspot.com"

Hello friends and Happy Easter!!  I hope you're enjoying a beautiful day with your family and friends!  I am blessed to have my two sons home today from college, so hubby and I are enjoying sharing the day with them!  The bunny paid us a little visit and we have some yummy food planned for our holiday meals today!  I love spring -- how about you?

Homespun Elegance Prince Blog Hop

I'm excited to pop in today to share a couple of projects I recently created for a Designer's Hop I was invited to participate in by a sweet stampy friend of mine!  Jessica, from Homespun Elegance, just celebrated the 2nd birthday of her little son, Mason, so in honor of this special occasion, she organized a designer's hop with a few crafty ladies that she knows!  The hop begins today and runs through Tuesday, April 2nd.  Each day a different group of designers will be sharing projects they made that go with a birthday, boy and celebration theme ... how FUN!

So, without further ado ... let's get this party started!  Here's my little boy celebration set ... (click on the photos to see larger images of each project)

This set was just too much fun to create ... so bright, cheery, fun and whimsical!

I used Jake, Hippity Hoppity, You're My Prince Charming and Banner Wishes to create the card!

The fun banners were created using the Banner Wishes, You're Invited, You Make Me Smile and You're My Hero stamp sets!

The fun polka dot and chevron pattern flair pieces were a gift I recently received from my stampy friend, Joscelyn -- they're from her shop: Bossy Joscie!

YUM!!!  These were so simple to make using chipboard pieces, stickers, flair and sentiment stamped banners ... what a quick and fun way to create pretty party favors and decorations for your next event!

So, what do you think of my little boy party set?  This can very easily be made into a little princess party by changing the colors and using either Abigail, Emma or Sophie -- dressing them up in a pretty party dress for your special event!

Be sure to hop on over and check out the fun projects created by the rest of the designers on today's hop schedule:
