Paper Sweeties Baby Blog Hop!

WCMD-2013

Happy World Card Making Day - 2013!

babybloghopHello sweeties!  Welcome to a very special event today here at Paper Sweeties!  All of us on the Design Team are here to help our very own sweetie, Jinny Newlin, celebrate the exciting news that she is expecting her third little bundle of joy!  We couldn't be any happier for Jinny and wish her and her sweet little family all the joy and blessings our hearts can hold!

papersweeties-debbie-10-2-13(7)In honor of this joyous occasion, the Sweeties Teamies decided to get together and host a Baby Blog Hop!  We all have created a little something 'sweet' to share with everyone today on our blogs.  I created a little card called 'Sweet Baby' in a soft corn flower yellow and mint green palette since Jinny doesn't know yet whether she is having a boy or girl.papersweeties-debbie-10-2-13(8)I used the Fancy Monograms, Little Wishes and Make Today Beautiful stamp sets along with Primrose Cookie Dough and Mint Green Tea seam binding from the Paper Sweeties boutique on my card.

papersweeties-debbie-10-2-13(6)And it wouldn't quite be a party without presents, right?  So, how about we give out a few!  We have several different ways for you to be eligible to win a $10 gift certificate to Paper Sweeties and we will choose THREE lucky winners!  Winners will be announced on October 31st!

#1 - HOP along to all the Sweeties Teamies' blogs and find the 'hidden' letter somewhere in their blog post.  After you've completed all EIGHT stops, you'll have eight letters that spell out a word related to today's Baby Blog Hop.  Unscramble the letters to figure out the word and then CONTACT US to send in your guess!  (Don't leave your guess in a comment here or everyone else will see it!)

It was an amazing, awe inspiring, exciting, heart warming and fun weekend filled with wonderful friendship and crafty goodness!  I met so many new people and was thrilled to introduce them to my little Paper Sweeties stamps!  The reactions and comments we received when people stopped by the booth simply touched my heart ... everyone was so complimentary of our stamps and the booth.  I attempted to make the atmosphere one that was inviting and welcoming ... making people want to come on in and stay a while!  It was fun to see people coming by one day and coming back again the next day!  All in all ... a huge success for us and I can't wait to attend the NEXT show!

Okay, lets get to peekin’ at my projects for today!  I created an entire birthday set for the three-day hop.  Today I’m sharing some sweet treats that you can make as party favors and take away gifts!

{click on the pictures to view larger images}

papersweeties-birthday(15)First up, we have a pretty little striped milkshake paper cup that I found at Home Goods.

papersweeties-birthday(16)I stamped a frame and sentiment using the Beautiful stamp set and adhered it to the front of the cup - tying a pretty aqua twill ribbon around the middle of the cup.

papersweeties-birthday(17)Next, I created some yummy treat bags - one is filled with pink and white peanut butter M&M's and I used the Little Wishes stamp set and Paradise Aqua Mist seam binding to create the tag.  The second one is filled with Raspberry tea cookies and I used the Occasions stamp set to create the banner tag.  The topper was made with the same hot pink and polka dotted cupcake liners I used on Friday's banner and Saturday's cupcakes with toppers!

papersweeties-birthday(18)To finish off the treats, I added a couple of Raspberry Lemonade drink mixes, some adorable hot pink and white striped paper straws and some hot pink paper crinkle!

papersweeties-birthday(20)The next favor idea I'm sharing is a sweet little gift box that I covered with hot pink polka dotted pattern paper and then adhered some aqua pom-pom trim around the top.  I created a soft baby pink tissue paper flower and added some sparkly aqua chipboard leaves.  The tag was created using the Banner Wishes and You're Invited stamp sets!

papersweeties-birthday(19)Inside, I added some aqua crinkle paper and a sweet little treat bag containing Raspberry tea cookies!  The tag was stamped using the Little Wishes stamp set and tied on with some Pink Bubblegum seam binding!

papersweeties-birthday(21)A sweet treat for sure, don't you think?!?

papersweeties-birthday(22)And my last little gift idea is a package of hot pink polka dotted napkins that match my party decor ... I wrapped them with aqua twill ribbon and adhered a white paper doilie, a delicious hot pink bloom with aqua glittery chipboard leaves!

papersweeties-birthday(23)I stamped the tag on this gift using the Home Tweet Home and Occasions stamp sets!

papersweeties-birthday(24)And here is my complete party set: banner, cupcakes with toppers, milkshake treat cup, tiny box party favor, polka dotted napkin take away gift and beverage glass charms!

Please be sure to visit my crafty friends’ blogs — oh my goodness, you won’t want to miss a single stop on the hop — so much eye candy, inspiration and ideas … these ladies are simply amazing!

Sending Hugs … TKJ #131!

Debbie TKJ#131 (2)

For today's 'Cute Critters' challenge, I began with a base of white card stock onto which I layered a piece of Brown Kraft Card Stock.  Next I wrapped some Green Baker's Twine around a piece of sky blue shimmer card stock to create 'grass' and then adhered this to the card base.  I created a cute scene with some die cut clouds and fence, a couple of felt critters and some stamped elements using the Happy Summer and Live Love Grow stamp sets.

Debbie TKJ#131 (3)

Lastly, I stamped a sentiment banner using the Sending Springtime stamp set on white card stock, adhered it to a Flag Banner Sticker and then to a Chipboard Flag Banner Piece.

Debbie TKJ#131 (1)Please visit The Kraft Journal challenge blog to be inspired by the other teamies' projects today, and then I hope you'll have time to play along for a chance to win some goodness from The Kraft Outlet Shop!
