Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas – MM#68!

Hi crafty friends!    I’m popping in today to share one last little something sweet that I recently created for this week’s #68 sketch challenge at Merry Monday!  I’ve been delighted to join Lesley and the MM girlies this month as their featured designer -- I'm sad that the month is just about done!!

papersweeties-merrymonday-june24(2)

I used some Cosmo Cricket chipboard pieces from my stash along with PTI, DCWV and October Afternoon holiday papers to create my card for today!  Doesn't that chipboard birdie make you smile??  I added a flower button on the chipboard snowflakd, twine and a rusty jingle bell to the chipboard package and a row of yummy fabric rosettes.

papersweeties-merrymonday-june24(3)

I used the Banner Wishes and Sending Holiday Cheer stamp sets to create the three banners and the O' Christmas Tree stamp set to stamp the sentiment on the top of the card - stamping directly onto the patterned paper.

Thanks again to Lesley and all the MM girlies for inviting me to join them this month ... I had a blast creating with the teamies!  Thank you also to all of you who left me such sweet comments along the way - hugs - xoxo!

Sweetness x 10 – TSTR #172

Hello crafty friends!  So happy you stopped by for a visit today!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend and are enjoying this gorgeous summer so far -- summer is my favorite time of the year ... LOVE!!

Photo Inspiration #172I am sharing a little something {sweet} I recently created for this week's challenge at The Shabby Tea Room #172 - 'Summer Breeze'!  Starr is our creative host and she is asking us to create a card or project using the colors in the photo and add a fabric element - easy peesy 🙂

Debbie TSTR #172 (3)I created a yummy dessert using the Tall Ice Cream Cone Shaped Card from The Cutting Cafe!  I added a red polka dotted button on the top for the 'cherry' and added sparkle puff paint along the edges of the fabric covered scoops to look like sugary sprinkles!

Debbie TSTR #172 (4)Layers of fabric trim were adhered to the underneath of each scoop to create another layer of dimension!  I scored the pink cone to give it a realistic look and then added some pretty red twill tape ribbon tied into a sweet bow!

Debbie TSTR #172 (2)For the finishing touch, I stamped a sentiment using the You Are Amazing set from Paper Sweeties and then tied it onto the twill ribbon with button twine and added a shiny red jingle bell!

Debbie TSTR #172 (1)The perfect little summer treat for someone sweet!

Please be sure to visit the Tea Room to be inspired by the rest of the Shabby Girls delicious creations this week ... and then we hope you'll have time to play along with our 'Summer Breeze' challenge for your chance to win some goodness from The Cutting Cafe!

Challenges I was inspired by:  Moxie Fab World - Mixy-Matchy style challenge; Ribbon Carousel #82 - Fun in the Sun;  Really Reasonable Ribbons #74 - dots & ribbon; Fussy & Fancy #91 - buttons; Catered Crop - shapes/dies/punches

More times than not, I find it quite challenging to create a 'good' masculine card -- something not filled with frills, pink and glitter -- know what I mean??!!  Tina has created one handsome card here that I absolutely loved the second I laid eyes on it!  I adore the contrast of the diagonal plaid patterned paper and then the vertical stripes ... and she even managed to sneak in a chocolate colored bow -- LOVE!  Bravo, Tina!  Please feel free to grab the 'Friday Featured Fan' badge to display on your blog!

Who will be next week's Friday Featured Fan ... maybe you?  Send me links to your projects ... I cannot wait to see what you'll create this week 🙂

Deck The Halls – Merry Monday #67!

Hi crafty peeps!  My oh my ... how the month of June is flying by 🙁  I'm popping in today to share a little something sweet that I recently created for this week's #67 sketch challenge at Merry Monday!  I'm so happy to be joining Lesley and the MM girlies this month as their featured designer!!

papersweeties-merrymonday-june17(2) I dug out some old, and treasured Cosmo Cricket holiday paper and goodies to create my card for today!  Don't you just love that sweet chipboard music note candy cane??  I punched a star from gold glitter paper and then added a button, twine and a rusty jingle bell to the pretty little nosegay.

papersweeties-merrymonday-june17(3)The nosegay was adhered to a red and white polka dot grosgrain ribbon bow that was tie on top of some crochet lace trim and a pretty white paper doilie.  A snipett of holiday sheet music paper was added to the bottom of the card base and I created the scallop on the bottom of the sketch using festive, red buttons!  Last, but certainly not least, I stamped the sentiment using the Sending Holiday Cheer stamp set from Paper Sweeties!

papersweeties-merrymonday-june17(1)I love how this card turned out ... especially all those yummy buttons!  I'll have to save it to send to someone very special this holiday season!!

I'll be back again next Monday for my fourth and final project as the June Featured Designer for Merry Monday -- see you then!

Challenges I was inspired by:  Festive Friday #10 - vintage; Moxie Fab World - Mixy Matchy style challenge; Really Reasonable Ribbons #74 - dots with ribbon; There She Goes #212 - anything; Fussy & Fancy #91 - button up

With Love – TKJ #126!

Hello friends and welcome to The Kraft Journal #126 - 'Felt, Twine or Burlap'!  These are three of my favorite things to use when paper crafting, so it was hard to choose just one to create with!

Debbie TKJ #126 (2)

I began with a base of White cardstock onto which I layered a piece of Indigo cardstock.  Next, a piece of Brown Kraft Cardstock was embossed and inked.  I added a piece of white paper doilie and then several lengths of Blue Baker's Twine was wound around the left side.  The embossed layer was adhered to the base of the card.  I created a cardstock sandwich from Melon Mambo and White cardstock.  A frame was stamped in Lucky Limeade using the Best Wishes stamp set and then a sentiment was stamped using Indigo ink.  A Round Metal Edge Grungy Tag was added to the top of the card and then a butterfly punched from patterned paper was adhered to the ring.

Debbie TKJ #126 (1)Please be sure to stop by The Kraft Journal to check out the amazing inspiration projects created by the rest of the teamies ... and then I hope you'll have time to join us this week for our 'Felt, Twine or Burlap' challenge for your chance to win some yumminess from The Kraft Outlet Shop!

Challenges I was inspired by:  CAS(E) this sketch #32 - sketch; CASE Study #145 - muse;  There She Goes #212 – anything
