Hello crafty friends! I'm here today to share a card I made for the current challenge at The Kraft Journal #116 - 'Tag You're It'!
I began with a base of Lunch Bag Kraft Card Stock and then layered a piece of Buff Ivory Card Stock. Next, a piece of Kraft & Black Card Stock was added and two lengths of Music Note Washi Tape was adhered along the sides. A machine zig-zag stitch was sewn around all edges.
A piece of Vintage Keys Twill Ribbon was adhered around the middle of the card and then a Small Glassine Bag was stitched onto the base. A pretty paper bloom was attached along with leaves cut from a Mini Burlap Rectangle and a Vintage Keys Twill Ribbon bow. A piece of music note flair I received from my friend, Joscelyn, was adhered to the center of the bloom.
Last, sentiments were stamped onto a Small Kraft Shipping Tag using the Banner Wishes and You Are Amazing stamp sets from Paper Sweeties and then a snipett of Black Burlap Ribbon was attached to the top of the tag.
Please be sure to visit The Kraft Journal to check out the inspiration from the amazingly talented design teamies ... and then I hope you'll give the 'Tag You're It' challenge a try this week for a chance to win some awesomeness from The Kraft Outlet Shop!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Hello sweeties and welcome! I'm popping in today to share a project I recently designed for The Shabby Tea Room #161 - 'Shabby Spring'! Rebecca is our creative host and she has chosen this lovely photo for our inspiration this week ...
... and Rebecca asks that we create a card or project inspired by the COLORS and THEME of the photo and make it SHABBY!
I designed a 3-D topiary birdhouse using a gorgeous vintage birdhouse image from Digital Papers by Janet Etsy! I included a text piece of flair from my friend, Joscelyn's shop for the house peep hole! I made a little next using some spanish moss I collected from a golf course in Florida -- my hubby and sons were golfing and I was collecting goodies from nature to craft with!
I created a shabby bow using Lacey Blueberry and Vintage Winter White tea-stained seam binding from the shoppe ... and stamped the sentiment for the tag using the Jelly Bean Time stamp set. The sentiment was then adhered onto a pink vintage tape strip from Janet's shop.
I adore creating spring themed projects -- it's such a wonderful time of the year! Everything is new and fresh and anticipation is high for summer time to approach -- picnics, trips to the lake, beach vacations, fireworks, family fun!
Please be sure to hop on over to The Shabby Tea Room to check out the other Shabby Girls beautiful projects this week! We hope you'll have time to play along with our 'Shabby Spring' challenge for a chance to win some yummy goodies from Digital Papers By Janet Etsy!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hi crafty friends! I'm popping in today with a bit of fun news ... I was asked by the sweet ladies over at the Seize The Birthday challenge blog if I would sponsor their challenges for the next two weeks and guest design too! Of course, I said yes to both!
This week's edition of the Seize the Birthday challenge is to create a feminine card based on the sketch provided -- easy peesy, right??!! I love girlie and feminine cards, and this one is no exception with it's layers of pretty pattern papers, lace, satin trim, flowers and glitter - yum!
I used the Little Wishes and You Make Me Smile stamp sets from Paper Sweeties to create a fun tag to hang from the pretty nose gay in the frame. I also created a pretty bow using tea-stained Cameo Beige Sugar and Vintage Winter White seam binding from the shoppe! Please be sure to pop on over and take a peek at this week's sketch at Seize the Birthday ... and play along for your chance to win a gift certificate to the Paper Sweeties shoppe! I am sponsoring the next two weeks of challenges, so be sure to play along both weeks to double your chances of winning ... BIG!!

Hello friends and Happy Easter!! I hope you're enjoying a beautiful day with your family and friends! I am blessed to have my two sons home today from college, so hubby and I are enjoying sharing the day with them! The bunny paid us a little visit and we have some yummy food planned for our holiday meals today! I love spring -- how about you?
I'm excited to pop in today to share a couple of projects I recently created for a Designer's Hop I was invited to participate in by a sweet stampy friend of mine! Jessica, from Homespun Elegance, just celebrated the 2nd birthday of her little son, Mason, so in honor of this special occasion, she organized a designer's hop with a few crafty ladies that she knows! The hop begins today and runs through Tuesday, April 2nd. Each day a different group of designers will be sharing projects they made that go with a birthday, boy and celebration theme ... how FUN!
So, without further ado ... let's get this party started! Here's my little boy celebration set ... (click on the photos to see larger images of each project)
This set was just too much fun to create ... so bright, cheery, fun and whimsical!
I used Jake, Hippity Hoppity, You're My Prince Charming and Banner Wishes to create the card!
The fun banners were created using the Banner Wishes, You're Invited, You Make Me Smile and You're My Hero stamp sets!
The fun polka dot and chevron pattern flair pieces were a gift I recently received from my stampy friend, Joscelyn -- they're from her shop: Bossy Joscie!
YUM!!! These were so simple to make using chipboard pieces, stickers, flair and sentiment stamped banners ... what a quick and fun way to create pretty party favors and decorations for your next event!
So, what do you think of my little boy party set? This can very easily be made into a little princess party by changing the colors and using either Abigail, Emma or Sophie -- dressing them up in a pretty party dress for your special event!
Be sure to hop on over and check out the fun projects created by the rest of the designers on today's hop schedule:
