A Moxie Fab Homespun Holiday!

A Moxie Fab Homespun Holiday!

moxie

Hello crafty friends and welcome to a very special post today!  I’m delighted to be joining a HUGE group of talented paper crafters today to honor Cath Edvalson – creator of the inspirational Moxie Fab World blog!  Cath will be leaving her job as a contributing editor for Paper Crafts Magazine this month, so a group of us got together to host a Designer’s Blog Hop today to help celebrate Cath and show her just how much she will be missed!

papersweeties-debbie-11-9-13(2)I have been a fan and follower of the wonderful Moxie Fab World blog for several years … and have found so much inspiration in the weekly challenges offered there!  A couple of the very first challenges I ever won at the beginning of my paper crafting ‘career’ were from projects I created and submitted to Cath’s Moxie Fab World challenges:

Challenge Winner Button

8/4/10 – Moxie Fab World Card Style: Shabby Chic winner!

10/13/10 – Moxie Fab World Holiday Cards & More: Season’s Giftings winner!

11/2/11 – Moxie Fab World Textured to Perfection winner!

7/16/12 – Moxie Fabber of the Week!

papersweeties-debbie-11-9-13(1)I love making handmade from the heart paper crafted treasures all year round, but when the holidays roll around, I am so in my ‘element’!  Christmas truly is the most wonderful time of the year for me, and I so enjoy creating pretty things from paper and glue to help celebrate the season!  Cath’s Moxie holiday challenges were always at the top of my list of favorites to be inspired by and create along with!  Cath was always so encouraging and sweet through the comments she left on my little projects — the fact that she took the time to leave me a little love throughout my crafting journey always touched my heart!

papersweeties-debbie-11-9-13(3)I created a holiday card in honor of Cath with a homespun feeling — all warm and cozy with gingham and dots, lace and buttons, tea-stained hem tape and rusty bells!  I’m thinking this card will become my 2013 family holiday card … smitten with it’s warmth and charm … what do you think?  {click on photos for larger views}

I used these *new* holiday goodies from the Paper Sweeties boutique which are LIVE in the shop as of today — released EARLY this month for all of your holiday crafting needs:

Homespun Holidays stamp set

Homespun Holidays Sweet Cuts die

Rusty Jingle Bells

I hand tea-stained the hem tape.  The buttons and twine are from Papertrey Ink.  The gorgeous patterned paper is from October Afternoon – 2012 and I’ve been hoarding it in my stash … LOVE 🙂

Cath, I wish you all the best in whatever the future will bring to your life!  You have been such a source of inspiration for me over the years and I appreciate all that you did to help spark my creativity so I could let my passion soar!  BIG HUGS – xoxoxo
